Chapter 1592: Chapter 669: Summoning the “Fire God”_2
This wasn’t because Wang Tao had complete confidence, but simply because he had a good mindset. He knew that worrying wouldn’t help, and there was no need to overthink. He just needed to do his best.
“Your mindset is really impressive…”
Seeing Wang Tao’s calm demeanor, even Xiang Hongbin—normally someone with great composure—was full of admiration. At the moment, Xiang Hongbin was beyond nervous, fearing any accident might happen to Wang Tao.
“Relax!”
Wang Tao smiled briefly, and then walked outside. Looking at the elite squad from Changhe Base, he wasted no words and simply waved his hand.
“Let’s move.”
“Yes!”
The Golden Eagle led the team, flying toward the rift.
By the time they arrived at the rift, the sky was already beginning to lighten.
After landing, everyone looked toward Wang Tao.
“Here will do.”
Wang Tao selected the location for summoning the Fire God—right at the edge of the rift.
Hunting the Fire God would undoubtedly be a daunting task, but Wang Tao had one major advantage—he held the initiative!
Wang Tao didn’t know the exact whereabouts of the Fire God, but without his summoning, the Fire God could not emerge.
For Wang Tao, this represented an excellent opportunity. Before the summoning, he could make meticulous preparations. Once the Fire God descended, he could deliver a fiery greeting!
For example, at that very moment, the team began digging a massive pit in the location Wang Tao had designated—large enough to resemble a lake.
First, they buried a supply of high-yield explosives in the pit. Then, they poured wastewater discharged from the Crystal Energy Poison Tree into it, followed by various toxic potions crafted by the Hope Research Institute…
Before long, an artificial lake brimming with deadly poison stood before them. Just catching a whiff of the toxic fumes emanating from the lake caused everyone’s HP to plummet rapidly. They hurriedly consumed the antidote potions provided by Wang Tao to prevent themselves from succumbing to the poison.
Wang Tao then entered the poisonous water himself, placing certain objects at its very center. After his tasks were complete, the lake was surrounded by a circle of fences.
These were no ordinary fences; they were biological weapons with specific controlling effects.
Outside the fences, thumb-sized mushrooms were scattered and buried.
These mushrooms—highly toxic mutated plants—were acquired from the New Red Maple Base. Stepping on them would result in poisoning. While not overly potent, the mushrooms would induce a mild state of weakness. However, with a sufficient quantity of mushrooms and enough explosions to trigger them, the weakness would become significant.
Beyond the mushrooms lay a chaotic assembly of various other items. Their purpose was not to inflict heavy damage on the Fire God, but simply to buy Wang Tao some precious time—which was, in itself, a victory.
On the outermost perimeter of the setup were arranged Crystal Energy Cannons, Crystal Energy Guns, and similar weapons. These were all remotely controlled via wires and could be activated collectively with Wang Tao’s command, unleashing a concentrated assault on the Fire God.
Positioned at the absolute outer edge, over 12,000 meters away, were Ding Yuqin and the others. This distance was intentionally maintained by Wang Tao, as prior tests revealed that the Destruction Domain’s reach extended to a radius of 10,000 meters. Naturally, Wang Tao couldn’t let them get too close; if the Fire God emerged and killed them immediately, it would be a disastrous setback.
At this point, Wang Tao brought in several mutated meat pigs, using one as bait and throwing it into the rift.
“Everything is ready; the only thing left is the final trigger…”
Moments later, the mutated meat pig suddenly stopped struggling in the water. Blood stained the surface of the water, and within seconds, the pig disappeared without leaving even the tiniest trace.
The others couldn’t see what was happening underwater—they merely felt a chill of cold dread.
But Wang Tao could clearly observe the emergence of countless transparent fish in the seawater within the rift!
“I knew you’d show up! Excellent! Excellent!”
Wang Tao laughed heartily. This was the “trigger” he’d been waiting for.
His knowledge of sea beasts was limited, but among them, he specifically hoped to lure the transparent fish.
Other sea beasts either acted solo or in small groups of around a dozen—these clearly couldn’t stand up to Seventh Order Creatures. Transparent fish, however, were different; their numbers were near infinite!
Although their individual strength was relatively weak, once gathered in sufficient numbers, even Seventh Order Creatures couldn’t afford to ignore them.
Of course, Wang Tao’s ideal scenario was to attract all kinds of sea beasts, but that wasn’t realistic. Just luring in the transparent fish was already more than satisfactory.
After consuming the meat pig, the transparent fish slowly sank back into the water. Wang Tao could no longer see their blood bars, but based on Qu Shilin’s prior investigations of the transparent fish’s memories, they weren’t truly gone—they were hiding in the same waters. If anyone let their guard down because of this, the fish would teach them a painful lesson.
This outcome was precisely what Wang Tao wanted. With plenty of meat pigs on hand, he could continue luring the transparent fish as needed. As long as they clashed with the Fire God, Wang Tao’s golden opportunity would arise!
The group worked tirelessly until 9 a.m. By then, the preparations were nearly complete. Confirming there were no issues, Wang Tao ordered everyone to leave the area.
“Get going. Without my command, no one is to come back.”
“Yes! Best of luck to you, Mr. Wang!”
The group quickly departed.
Soon, only Wang Tao remained.
Feeling the worried gazes of Ding Yuqin and the others, Wang Tao turned back and waved to reassure them that there was no need to worry. He then inhaled deeply, consumed an antidote potion, and stepped into the center of the poison lake, pulling out the summoning altar.
[Seventh-tier·Summoning Altar]
[Quality: Epic]
[Usage Count: 4/5]
[Offerings: 100%]
[Function: Consume all offerings to randomly summon one Seventh Order Creature]
Among his three summoning altars, this one had always been fully stocked with offerings, but Wang Tao had refrained from using it. This particular altar emitted faint traces of fire element energy—clearly the one capable of summoning the Fire God.

Before activating the summoning altar, Wang Tao double-checked his preparations one last time to ensure nothing had been overlooked. Only then did he begin stroking the altar.
At that moment, an indistinct voice surfaced within his mind—a phrase akin to a slogan or spell. As long as he recited it, he would summon what was contained within the altar.
The phrase was simple, consisting of seven characters when translated:
“Let the Fire God’s True Body descend…”
After Wang Tao silently recited the words, the palm-sized summoning altar in his hand suddenly ignited with flames. The offerings rapidly diminished, dropping from 100% to 0% within roughly three seconds.
Simultaneously, the altar’s usage count declined, going directly from “4/5” to “0/5.”
Evidently, regardless of remaining summon count, summoning a true body instantly exhausted the altar’s capacity.
With both data values cleared, the flames enveloping the altar grew even more radiant before finally burning to ash.
At that moment, the water surface before Wang Tao revealed a fist-sized black hole. The darkness expanded outward, seemingly impenetrable, but Wang Tao could feel waves of scorching heat emanating from within.
Being closest, Wang Tao felt suffocating—like the surrounding oxygen was evaporating—and unbearably hot, even as a Fire Attribute Awakener himself.
Whoosh—
A single small flame emerged from the black hole. Instantly, the surrounding temperature skyrocketed, causing lake water to evaporate and shrouding the area in mist, obstructing the view for those watching from afar.
The flame grew incrementally larger, as did the temperature.
Suddenly, the oppressive heat vanished, along with the black hole. It all felt like an illusion.
But the five-meter-tall, levitating orange-red flame before Wang Tao proved otherwise. The so-called “Fire God” had indeed been summoned!
