Chapter 1315: Chapter 1319: Pardoned

…

Song Hao was a man with a severe intolerance to alcohol, yet he had a particular fondness for it.

After getting thoroughly intoxicated, Zhu Minglang had no choice but to escort him back to his mansion.

Song Hao’s mansion was located in a rather secluded area, where one could often have a more expansive courtyard by choosing to stay away from the bustling part of Bi Luo Island, including having a small mountain forest to rear Juvenile Spirits.

Song Hao took pleasure in rearing Juvenile Spirits, and he also had his own Spirit Qi Bamboo Forest.

The night was growing late, and Zhu Minglang supported Song Hao as they walked towards his residence. Song Hao refused to fly on a Dragon Beast, insisting on walking along the wooden coastal boardwalk to sober up. Zhu Minglang could only comply, especially after having just declined such a significant offer from the other, who must have tried to mediate for him many times with his own master.

“Oh, junior brother, junior brother, I really don’t know if I should scold you…” Song Hao uttered his true thoughts after a few drinks.

“Senior brother, there’s no need to say more. I remember your kindness, Zhu Lang. I know the path I must follow, and I’m clear about it,” Zhu Minglang said.

“Alright, alright. My master will probably turn green with rage if he learns that you are not joining us,” Song Hao started to laugh.

Walking along the wooden boardwalk, the gentle slapping of the waves against the shore rocks created a rhythmic sound, which was soothing to the nerves, especially in a slightly tipsy state, allowing one to relax completely.

“I can walk the rest of the way by myself, you should go back, junior brother,” Song Hao said to Zhu Minglang.

It seemed he wanted some quiet time alone.

Seeing that Song Hao had sobered up considerably, Zhu Minglang nodded and said, “Once again, I thank senior brother and the Town Mountain Immortal for their generosity.”

Song Hao waved his hand dismissively.

…

After Zhu Minglang left, Song Hao also gave careful thought to the matter of his junior brother.

Perhaps this junior brother truly had some extraordinary qualities, otherwise, why would even the White Lin show no aversion to him?

People strive for higher places, and the Town Mountain Immortal was indeed not bad, but when compared to the background of the Weaver Star Fairy, there was certainly a considerable gap.

Song Hao sighed and continued along the coastal path.

Walking along, two figures suddenly appeared on the narrow boardwalk.

They stood blocking Song Hao’s path without any intention of stepping aside.

“Excuse me, fellow daoists, please make way, thank you,” said Song Hao, not knowing their purpose but still adhering to the principle that avoiding trouble is better than courting it.

“Is this the great deacon of Town Mountain Gate, Song Hao?” one of them asked, questioning him.

“It is I.” Song Hao sobered up even more, sensing the hostility in their tone.

“Our master wishes to inquire about something,” the two said forcefully, with the burlier one even pointing towards the rocks by the sea.

At a solitary rock, waves churned around a figure standing with their back turned, resembling a statue of the night, yet exuding a mysterious and dangerous aura!

“May I ask what this is about?” Song Hao asked.

“Just answer us, has the Beast Guardian Land welcomed any newcomers, especially the disciple who is taking care of the White Kirin? Tell us who he is, no need to ask further,” said the burly man.

“This is an internal matter of our sect, what do you want with such information?” Song Hao asked.

“Tell us who it is!!” The burly man was growing extremely impatient, and it was evident from their presence here that they brought a hint of threat and intimidation.

“Sorry, I cannot disclose internal affairs of our sect,” Song Hao said firmly.

“You’ll regret not drinking a toast when you’ll have to drink a forfeit!” The burly man lost his patience, preparing to take action.

But at that moment, the person who was standing on the rock floated over, landed on a wooden stake, and then looked down at Song Hao.

“Do you recognize me?” the person asked.

Song Hao scrutinized the situation for a moment, and his facial expression changed immediately.

He hurriedly bowed and respectfully said, “Star Officer Nie!”

“Rest assured, I will not interfere with your sect’s internal affairs. I likewise just wish to ask that disciple a small question. You merely need to inform us who it is,” said Kang’s Star Officer Nie Ti.

Song Hao didn’t hesitate much, continuing to respectfully respond, “Star Officer, this matter is being arranged by the Town Mountain Immortal, my master. I am but a deacon and truly do not know…”

“The Town Mountain Immortal was not present a few days ago, I have asked your subordinates, and it was you who were handling it. Song Hao, seeing as we are all sect members now, I will ask you once more. Answer me honestly, and if you continue to be so oblivious to courtesy!” Kang’s Star Officer Nie Ti said.

Zhu Minglang was just about to step forward, when Song Hao immediately blocked him with his hand.

“I truly do not know about this matter,” Song Hao replied.

As soon as he finished speaking, Kang’s Star Officer suddenly raised his hand, and his palm erupted with tremendous Divine Power, slapping Song Hao and sending him flying!

Song Hao didn’t even have time to summon the Dragon Hand figurine and was struck down onto the muddy shore.

Blood and wine spewed out together, and Song Hao, covered in filth, was about to summon his Dragon Beast when he looked at the flying Kang’s Star Officer Nie Ti and then lowered his hand.

Summoning the dragon would just mean slaughter at the hands of such a person.

Song Hao didn’t want his dragon to die in vain.

He simply closed his eyes. If the other party wanted to kill him, then let them come!

“Quite spirited,” Star Officer Nie Ti chuckled.

“If I die today, my master, the Town Mountain Immortal, will inevitably demand justice from you. By that time, Star Officer, please think of a good reason for killing me!” Song Hao said.

“Heh heh, you do realize how foolish you’re being, don’t you? If you don’t tell, can there really be no one else in the entire Town Mountain Gate who would speak? I will ultimately learn who it is, so why insist on making things difficult for yourself?” Star Officer Nie Ti said.

Song Hao fell silent.

Others would find him, presumably because someone from his own sect had informed the other party.

“Let’s go. I didn’t intend to kill you. I’ve said it’s just a simple question, and this slap was merely the price for your displeasure!” Star Officer Nie Ti waved his hand dismissively.

Song Hao realized that Star Officer Nie Ti’s gaze was fixed on him, as if making sure to watch him leave.

This feeling of being watched made Song Hao extremely uncomfortable, yet he had no choice but to get up and hobble away under the other’s mocking gaze.

To be granted clemency.

As if being pardoned.

…

The next day, Zhu Minglang was challenging the guardians of various islands with his Chongwang Dragon.

Just as he was about to feed and become acquainted with his old friend, Zhu Minglang noticed three people riding an exceptionally luxurious Thunder Mother Azure Dragon landing on this island.

This is the Beast Guardian Land, a place where disciples would not normally venture.

Zhu Minglang watched the three imposing individuals with some perplexity.

“Is this Zhu Lang?” a burly Dragon Master inquired.

“What is it?” Zhu Minglang asked.

“It’s him.”

The Thunder Mother Azure Dragon landed on the island and coiled its body into a large disk, almost enclosing Zhu Minglang inside.

Among the three, a man wearing a Star Monarch Hat approached Zhu Minglang and surveyed him with a pair of unique golden eyes.

“Have you recently been making offerings to White Lin, the Zhen Tian Beast?” Kang Constellation Star Official Nie Ti asked.
