Chapter 1493: Chapter 1497: Wishing Dragon

…

In the northern part of the Xuantian Capital, the Huangyan Mountain Range with its majestic mountains and massive valleys resembled a series of coiling dragons lying beneath the vast blue sky.

Yet, between the Huangyan Mountain Range and the blue sky, there lay a huge black floating island. It clashed with the colors of this world, and even when bathed in sunlight, it showed not a hint of sheen, as if even the spiritual glow scattered there could be swallowed.

The Three Heavenly Chiefs stood in mid-air, gazing pensively at this unknown object.

It has to be said, this Black Divine Mark Island even gave people a sense of the ethereal majesty of the Dragon Gate, but when trying to approach and touch it, it was complete void.

“I’ve heard that similar Black God’s Trace marks have appeared in other Sky Fields, and each place’s Black God’s objects have different effects on their surroundings,” said the Warrior Chief.

“Let’s wait until the Sky Monarch Mysterious Woman arrives,” said the Skeleton Chief.

Soon after, Li Yunzi arrived on a flying sword as if stepping on stardust. As usual, she came alone, but the several chiefs were well aware that Li Yunzi had a loyal group of celestial guards, a force of immense faith that would answer her call.

Li Yunzi’s gaze swept over the three of them, and she asked indifferently, “The Shepherd Chief hasn’t arrived?”

“He should be in seclusion at the West Heavenly Mountain, striving to break through his cultivation base barrier. He’s been diligently training for years and appears less frequently,” said the Warrior Chief.

“Any discoveries?” inquired Li Yunzi.

“We didn’t dare approach lightly. We all sensed an extremely aggressive intent warning us,” replied the Skeleton Chief.

“You stay here, I’ll go and see,” said Li Yunzi.

“Isn’t that too risky? We can send some people in first.”

“There’s no need!”

“The courage of the Sky Monarch Mysterious Woman commands our admiration,” they said.

…

…

Thousands Return Peach Blossom Tracks, it is said to be an endless fairyland of peach blossoms, where mortals who step into its path come out as aged men.

At the moment Zhu Minglang stepped inside, he felt a powerful restraint envelop the entire fairyland.

This reminded Zhu Minglang of those ancient ruins, usually requiring passage through some spatial rift to enter a separate small world…

But the Peach Blossom Fairyland wasn’t a closed ancient relic; it was completely open, and anyone passing by could see the endless peach blossom fairyland, with no special hidden paths. All they needed to do was step inside, and they would be entering this small world.

Before long, the peach blossom trees around him were incredibly lush, and the petals danced in the breeze, filling the air with fragrance.

Raising his head inadvertently, Zhu Minglang noticed that the clear sky had turned into a comfortable overcast. He hadn’t walked far and hadn’t seen clouds gathering—the sky outside was clear, but here, silk-like clouds covered the sky…

A ripple of mental waves was resonating, and Zhu Minglang could already clearly sense the presence of two little creatures.

As Zhu Minglang entered the Thousands Return Peach Blossom Tracks, they too sensed him, and this mental resonance grew stronger.

However, perhaps due to the maze-like structure of the Peach Blossom Tracks, even as Zhu Minglang sought in the direction of the sensation, it seemed he wasn’t drawing any nearer to the Spirit Glowing Dragon and the Peach Roe Deer Dragon.

Feeling puzzled, Zhu Minglang couldn’t help but wonder, who was the bored fool who designed this peach blossom fairyland to be as complex as a bagua array?

Helplessly, Zhu Minglang had to continue deeper into the Peach Blossom Tracks. In reality, it wasn’t deserted here; every ten or eight miles, he would come across a small courtyard, and even see some villages and hamlets.

The inhabitants of these places were mostly God’s Descendants, living in seclusion, though some loose cultivators would intrude here, hoping to encounter some fortuitous events within this mystical fairyland. Such as accidentally entering a peach blossom pool and encountering a fairy bathing there, handing her a robe or something, thus embarking on a xianxia adventure.

Zhu Minglang, however, didn’t have such a fortuitous encounter. Instead, when he reached a small pavilion, he saw some people resting there, eating the snacks they had prepared.

“Friend, are you also here seeking the Divine Deer Dragon?” an enthusiastic man in a brown robe asked.

“Yes, but it seems I’ve gotten lost here,” Zhu Minglang nodded.

“Do you have any wishes? We were just discussing this, come over and rest a bit,” the brown-robed man said.

“Wishes??”

“Don’t you know? They say the first person to see the Divine Deer Dragon will have their wishes come true,” the brown-robed man said with a smile.

“Oh, then my wish now is to find the Divine Deer Dragon,” said Zhu Minglang.

This statement elicited laughter from the people in the pavilion.

“Whether it’s true or not, we all want to see it. Having wishes come true might be far-fetched, but if it can bring us good luck, we would be content,” the brown-robed man said.

He divided some of his snacks and shared them with Zhu Minglang, appearing very friendly and enthusiastic.

Through the conversation, Zhu Minglang came to understand that the Peach Blossom Tracks indeed had a mystical realm that required certain methods to enter the deeper parts; otherwise, they might wander around the periphery endlessly.

These people seemed prepared and had understood some patterns of the Peach Blossom Fairyland.

They didn’t mind taking Zhu Minglang deeper into the tracks.

Sure enough, following these people, Zhu Minglang could feel himself getting closer to the Peach Roe Deer Dragon.

It turned out that due to his own mistake, he had been walking in the opposite direction, with the Peach Roe Deer Dragon following behind him.

Once his direction was corrected, the distance visibly shortened, although the vastness of the Peach Blossom Tracks was beyond Zhu Minglang’s initial expectations.

Even though these people moved a bit slowly, they could eventually find the Peach Roe Deer Dragon.

“Even if we can’t see the Divine Deer Dragon, finding that Wishing Well isn’t bad either. I brought many offerings this time,” said a woman.

“Let’s take it as it comes. We’re here for an outing, and sometimes the more you deliberately seek something, the less you’ll find. The less you think about it, the more unexpected things you encounter,” the brown-robed man said optimistically.

“I must find it; if I don’t see the Divine Deer Dragon, I won’t leave, even if I emerge with white hair,” another black-robed man was exceptionally determined.

“Why must you do that?” said a woman in a blue robe, her face marked by an appalling scar, evidently left from back then.

“You wouldn’t understand. If I can’t see that the Evil Immortals are punished as they deserve, my clansmen won’t rest in peace!” the black-robed man evidently bore deep-seated resentment.
