Chapter 393

“Big Brother, you’re awake!”

The Second Holy Lord exclaimed upon seeing his elder brother awaken.

“Big Brother, are your injuries serious?” the Third Holy Lord also asked, concern evident in his voice.

“They’ve stabilized for now, but to fully recover, it will take some time to nurture them,” the First Holy Lord replied.

This time, he had forcibly activated his Golden Core of Magical Power, and the fact that it hadn’t resulted in a complete loss of control was already a stroke of luck.

A full recovery, however, would not come easily.

“Fortunately, we were on Sacred Mountain, and Big Brother had just advanced to the Golden Core Realm. Otherwise, this time, we might not have survived at all,” the Second Holy Lord said, feeling a deep sense of relief.

Recalling the terrifying giant palm from earlier, he still felt a shiver run down his spine.

“Big Brother, who exactly are those two? When did such terrifying individuals appear in this world?” the Third Holy Lord asked as well.

“I don’t know either,” the First Holy Lord shook his head, “but I suspect those two are not people of this world but rather extraterrestrial visitors.”

“Extraterrestrial visitors?”

The Second and Third Holy Lords spoke in unison, their surprise evident.

“That’s right, extraterrestrial visitors,” the First Holy Lord affirmed with a nod. “The tone of those two mysterious powerhouses was unmistakably condescending, and they even referred to us as ‘natives.’

Clearly, they are not of our world.”

Thinking back to the words spoken by the two mysterious figures, the Second and Third Holy Lords couldn’t help but agree with their elder brother’s deduction.

Yet, they still found it difficult to believe.

“But extraterrestrial visitors? For tens of thousands of years, our world hasn’t had any visitors from beyond. Ancient records even speculate whether there truly are other worlds beyond the heavens,” the Third Holy Lord said.

As leaders of a millennia-old dominion, the Holy Lords held significant knowledge of the world. They had also collected numerous ancient texts passed down from the Immortal Era, granting them insight into many secrets.

“Just because it hasn’t happened before doesn’t mean it won’t happen now. Those two mysterious powerhouses are unfathomable; their cultivation levels are beyond even my comprehension.

And don’t forget the ancient texts also recorded that during the end of the Immortal Era, when the Calamity of the End of Spiritual Laws descended, the strongest cultivators of that time departed aboard Boundary-Breaking Vessels, never to return.

They must have found a new place to settle in the outside world. Otherwise, there would be no reason not to return,” the First Holy Lord explained.

Hearing this, the Third Holy Lord’s mind stirred. “Big Brother, by your reasoning, could those two be descendants of the powerful cultivators who left our world at the end of the Immortal Era?”

The First Holy Lord pondered for a moment and said, “It’s possible, but there’s no way to confirm it.

Those two clearly bear ill intent, and it’s not as if we can step out and question them. We’ll have to find another way to uncover the truth in the future.”

“Indeed, everything can wait until your injuries are fully healed,” the Second and Third Holy Lords agreed. They knew full well that with the fearsome strength of those two mysterious figures, stepping outside now would only result in being at their mercy.

Earlier, it was only through the First Holy Lord’s desperate, forceful activation of his Golden Core, and by drawing on the power of the Mountain Spirit, that they had managed to escape unexpectedly.

Now that the enemy was on guard, going out again would likely result in their swift capture or death.

Even if they felt humiliated, they had no choice but to remain hidden within the mountain.

“Big Brother, how long will it take for you to recover?” the Second Holy Lord asked.

“About ten days. Once I’ve fully recovered, I’ll also have become more adept at stabilizing and controlling my Golden Core of Magical Power. By then, with the help of the Mountain Spirit, as long as we remain within the Sacred Mountain, I will no longer fear those two, even if they remain outside,” the First Holy Lord said coldly.

As the ruler of the Sacred Mountain for a millennium and the first to step into the Golden Core Realm, he had his own pride.

Though the two were formidable, from their earlier exchange, he could tell that the young man in white was not much higher than him in cultivation, still within the Golden Core Realm.

If the other had been above the Golden Core Realm, no matter how much aid the Mountain Spirit provided, the First Holy Lord wouldn’t have been able to escape with his two brothers.

Thus, once he fully mastered the power of the Golden Core Realm and could further enhance his use of the Mountain Spirit’s strength, he might not be as powerless when confronting them again.

With these thoughts in mind, the First Holy Lord began to absorb the abundant earth energy within the mountain to heal himself deeply…

“Are you sure everything you said just now is true?”

Above the Sacred City, a young man in white robes stood with his hands clasped behind his back. In front of him, a middle-aged man grimaced in pain, gripped by a massive hand formed of magical power, as if he might be crushed at any moment.

The aura emanating from the man revealed him to be a powerful warrior at the peak of the Innate Stage.

Nearby, several others were also restrained by another hand of magical power, their faces contorted in agony.

Beneath them, in the Sacred City, a massive palm print scarred the ground, leaving behind a field of ruins.

The faint scent of blood still lingered in the air, the number of casualties unknown.

“It’s true! Every word I’ve said is true! If there’s even a single lie, may I be struck by lightning and die a miserable death!” the middle-aged warrior cried, enduring the pain.

“What about you all? Did he tell the truth?” the young man in white asked, his gaze shifting to the others.

“Every word is true! Brother Qi did not lie! Please, spare us!”

“Brother Qi’s words are completely accurate. We beg for your mercy!”

The restrained warriors shouted one after another, their voices filled with fear.

In their hearts, terror surged. The means by which these two mysterious figures had captured them were utterly incomprehensible.

Such unfathomable abilities were far beyond their imagination, proving these two to be beings of unimaginable power.

“Very well, let’s see if you’ve been truthful,” the young man in white said, a sinister smile appearing on his face. His soul force surged, overwhelming and invasive.

The next moment, the restrained warriors’ eyes widened as veins bulged on their faces. Their agonized screams pierced the air as if they were enduring an indescribable torment.

Before long, their screams diminished, their eyes became vacant, and drool dripped from their mouths. They were left in a vegetative state.

Nearby, a gray-robed man hesitated to intervene but ultimately held back. He understood that his junior brother needed to vent his anger after what had happened earlier.

“Natives are just natives. They can’t even withstand a little soul impact,” the young man in white said disdainfully as he released the warriors.

With a series of dull thuds, their bodies hit the ground, turning into mangled heaps in the palm print’s ruins below.
