Chapter 1261: Chapter 1260: Ghost King Tianqing’s Great Battle against the Ghost King of Youdu

“Are we being confined here?” Xu Zimei said with a smile.

“It’s not a bad thing. The more people from the Ghost Tribe we meet, the more likely they’ll slip up,” Xie Changliu replied.

“Let’s see if Ghost General Hebun has the ability to find Rihua City and make it happen for us.”

After the two arrived at the courtyard where they were staying, the Long-tongue Ghost left.

Xie Changliu took out the Hundred Ghosts Fluid and dripped some on both of them, to prevent the Yin energy from dissipating.

After all, the Hundred Ghosts Fluid is not a cure-all.

“We should rest well for a few days; Ghost General Hebun will come looking for us again,” Xu Zimei said.

Logically speaking, Rihua City, left by the Wood God Ju Mang, should be well-known, yet no one seems to have heard of it.

This, in itself, is somewhat unscientific.

They stayed in the courtyard for seven days without venturing out at all.

Until one morning, Ghost General Hebun, accompanied by a man in a black robe, came to find Xu Zimei and Xie Changliu.

“Come with us,” Ghost General Hebun said straightforwardly.

“Where to?” Xu Zimei asked.

“You’ll know when we get there,” Ghost General Hebun was reluctant to explain.

He and the man in the black robe led the way while Xu Zimei and Xie Changliu followed closely behind, leaving the residence straight away.

They left the City of Yama, heading east.

“Lord Hebun, where are we going? At least tell us,” Xie Changliu inquired.

“According to what you said, we specifically looked into matters concerning Rihua.

Would you like to know? We found some interesting things,” Ghost General Hebun chuckled lightly.

“I would love to hear more,” Xie Changliu replied.

“Rihua is actually a city,” Ghost General Hebun said.

Xie Changliu and Xu Zimei exchanged looks but said nothing.

“Long ago, there was a Divine Spirit in this world.

The Wood God, who symbolizes life, Ju Mang, lived here,” Ghost General Hebun said.

“Could Rihua City be related to Ju Mang?” Xie Changliu said in feigned surprise.

“Ju Mang disappeared, and the flowers of death bloomed throughout the Forbidden Land, what do you think?” Ghost General Hebun suddenly asked a strange question.

Even Xu Zimei paused for a moment.

He mentioned the flowers of death, suggesting he wanted to use their power to find Rihua City. Could it be that Rihua City really is related to the flowers of death?

Ghost General Hebun was about to say something more, but the man in the black robe suddenly coughed several times.

Ghost General Hebun also stopped speaking.

“Since you have already found Rihua City, why do you still need to bring us along?” Xie Changliu asked in confusion.

“We investigated your identities, and there’s no information about you in the City of Yama,” Ghost General Hebun said casually.

He only said half of the sentence, but the meaning was clear.

The two of them were not subordinates of Tu Meng, nor Ghost Spirits from the City of Yama, so they were likely sent by other Ghost Kings.

After all, the Ghost Kings were not always harmonious with each other.

Xu Zimei was not in a hurry; they probably thought the two were sent by other Ghost Kings, never suspecting that they were not from the Ghost Tribe at all.

……

Everyone was rather silent on the road.

Each harbored ulterior motives as they passed through several cities.

That day, they were walking in a vast desert of yellow sand.

No trace of the Ghost Tribe was visible; this place was desolate, jointly owned by the Ghost Tribe and the Divine Race.

But because it wasn’t of much use, neither group had stationed guards here.

After walking a while, the man in the black robe suddenly stopped.

“What’s wrong?” Ghost General Hebun asked.

“Show yourself. We’ve been trailed sneakily all along, and no one is around here. Convenient for settling things,” the man in the black robe said calmly.

Ghost General Hebun’s expression changed, quickly surveying the surroundings.

The yellow sand suddenly rose up, whipping around, turning the sky and ground dark as if vision was wrapped in a layer of sand.

Within the sand, the sound of chains clashing was heard.

A man pushing a massive chain hammer emerged from the sand, his arms bound tightly in bandages.

His hair was sparse, face emaciated, with an aquiline nose.

“Ghost King Tianqing, it’s you,” the man in the black robe said hoarsely.

“Wearing black robes in broad daylight, what are you afraid of, You Du?” The newcomer laughed.

At the mention of ‘You Du’, the identity of the man in the black robe was revealed.

Ghost King of Youdu.

“Are these your people?” the man in the black robe looked at Xu Zimei and Xie Changliu, asking blandly.

He removed the black robe, no longer concealing himself.

He revealed a face etched with red patterns.

His facial features were almost obscured, and the dense patterns made even those with trypophobia averse to looking directly.

He held a Five Elements Staff in his hand, with the powers of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth coursing across it.

“Where are you headed?” Ghost King Tianqing asked.

“Just taking a stroll, with nothing better to do,” Ghost King of Youdu replied calmly.

“I’ve heard you’re investigating matters related to Rihua City,” Ghost King Tianqing exposed directly without mincing words.

“Ghost King Tianqing’s information network is quite impressive,” Youdu Ghost King squinted, the aura on the staff growing stronger.

“But what I investigate is none of your concern.”

“True, it’s none of my business, but coincidentally, I also investigated a bit and discovered many remarkable things,” Ghost King Tianqing laughed.

“Would you like me to read them out for you one by one?”

“What do you want?” Youdu Ghost King paused for a moment, then asked again.

“How about we split those two, one for each of us?” Ghost King Tianqing pointed to Xu Zimei and Xie Changliu, asking.

“Aren’t they your people?” Now it was Youdu Ghost King’s turn to frown.

He felt that too many people were becoming involved.

“Don’t waste words, yes or no?” Ghost King Tianqing asked impatiently.

“If you don’t agree, I’ll just take them by force.”

“You’re welcome to try,” Youdu Ghost King was not one to shy away from trouble, the Frost gathering around his staff.

With a flick toward the void, half of the Firmament froze.

“Come over,” Ghost King Tianqing leaped into the air, flinging out the chain hammer.

The chain detached from the hammer, with the hammer striking toward Youdu Ghost King, while the chain hooked onto Xu Zimei’s clothing, trying to drag him over.

With a “boom,” the frost cut through, the Youdu Ghost King freezing the hammer with his staff.

Also freezing the chain.

He grabbed Xu Zimei by the shoulder with his right hand, trying to pull him over as well.

Ghost King Tianqing snorted coldly, giving a slight shake of the chain, powerful Jing Qi bursting forth, shattering the ice.

Youdu Ghost King flipped down, grasping the other end of the chain, with the two silently contesting, internal energy continually clashing.

“Let go, this will just end in mutual destruction,” Ghost King Tianqing said with a face of iron.

“You let go first,” Youdu Ghost King snorted.

As they argued, another explosion was heard.
