“Shu Long, stay outside with your father, we’ll go in and take a look,” Xu Zimei pondered for a moment and said.

He wasn’t afraid of these people, but rather the unknown dangers within the Ancestral Dragon legacy.

Shu Long didn’t insist; he was following Xu Zimei and Wu Zhaodi to begin with.

Others had already entered the cave after passing through the Corpse Worm tide, Xu Zimei and Wu Zhaodi exchanged a glance and followed closely.

Upon entering the cave, the light vanished, and everything before them was pitch-black.

In the silence, it seemed like the sound of “drip-drop” of water droplets piercing through the rocks was echoing.

“Can you talk about your identity now?” Xu Zimei asked.

“Are you really that curious?” Wu Zhaodi asked.

“Actually, I’m not curious about your identity, I just want to ask you some things,” Xu Zimei said.

“If your identity is too ordinary, I wouldn’t have any reason to ask.”

“Given our decent time together, ask whatever you want,” Wu Zhaodi said.

“If I know the answer, I’ll certainly tell you.”

“Have you ever seen the Demon Race?” Xu Zimei asked.

“Yes, the Tianluan Immortal Palace sends representatives to visit the Demon Race every year. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to go a few times,” Wu Zhaodi replied.

“Visit?” Xu Zimei said in astonishment.

“The Tianluan Immortal Palace should be very powerful.”

“In some ways, not inferior to the Heavenly Dragon Empire, perhaps even more transcendent,” Wu Zhaodi thought for a moment and replied.

“Even so powerful, it is still subjugated to the Demon Race,” Xu Zimei muttered.

“Perhaps the Demon Race has become that powerful.”

After pondering for a bit, Xu Zimei asked again, “Do you know the current strongest state of the Demon Race?”

“I truly don’t know this; how strong the Demon Race is, aside from themselves, probably no one knows,” Wu Zhaodi shook her head and replied.

“In recent years, several wars have occurred in the Catastrophe Demon Domain, but the Demon Race rarely participated.

Common people almost forget the Demon Race, but only we know they are really everywhere.”

While the two were chatting, suddenly a scream came from not far away.

They immediately furrowed their brows and accelerated their pace along the cave.

Finally, they saw a body not far away.

A body with an empty heart, flesh and skin lifeless.

The body seemed dead for a long time, but they had just heard the scream.

“It’s one of those black-robed men,” Wu Zhaodi immediately judged.

“What did they encounter?”

“Keep moving forward, we’ll run into them eventually,” Xu Zimei said indifferently.

Wu Zhaodi slightly squatted down, undid the opponent’s black robe, revealing the wrist.

There was actually an eye pattern on it.

“It’s the Vast State,” Wu Zhaodi said with a glint in her eye.

“These black-robed people are from the Vast State, and they are of the Imperial Household.”

“How can you be so sure? Just because of this pattern?” Xu Zimei asked.

“Yes, the Vast State’s totem is hard to mimic,” Wu Zhaodi nodded and affirmed.

“They have this inherited totem from a young age; it’s an ingrained pattern in their bloodline.”

“What kind of influence does the Vast State have?” Xu Zimei asked again.

“They border the Heavenly Dragon Empire, and it is said that long ago, the two nations often fought.

But since the Vast Human Emperor came to power, the wars ended.”

Wu Zhaodi said, “Who would have thought this time for an Ancestral Dragon legacy, they’ve been lurking for so long.”

“Vast Human Emperor,” Xu Zimei muttered to himself.

“That’s right, both the Heavenly Dragon Martial Emperor and the Vast Human Emperor are hailed as the two emperors, the most remarkable rulers in their respective empire’s history,” Wu Zhaodi said.

“If the two empires had continued to fight, it would have only weakened them, allowing foreign influences like us to take advantage.

Since these two came to power, not only has the fighting stopped, but they’ve joined forces instead.”

“I’ve heard that above the empire, there are Demon Race officials?” Xu Zimei asked again.

“Indeed,” Wu Zhaodi nodded.

Though the two chatted, they remained vigilant of their surroundings.

As they advanced in the cave, they finally saw light ahead.

This confined space in the cave easily provokes anxiety.

The two couldn’t help but quicken their pace.

As they passed through the darkness and reached the light, Xu Zimei found himself in front of a grand hall.

Beside the hall, the black-robed people of the Vast State and Elder Qi Kuangyin of the Sanluan Sect were the only powers left.

They eyed each other fiercely, and Xu Zimei’s arrival disrupted this balance.

“Young sire, we met at the Shu Mansion,” Qi Kuangyin was initially surprised upon seeing Xu Zimei and Wu Zhaodi.

He then said, “Let’s join forces to eliminate these foreign people and split the legacy, how about that?”

“Elder Qi, is there really any talk of splitting the legacy?” The black-robed figure opposite laughed.

“Your rhetoric sounds like trying to deceive a three-year-old child.”

“You both can stop quarreling; I want this legacy,” Xu Zimei said directly, uninterested in their debate.

He looked up ahead at the grand hall.

There hung eight Divine Dragon bones suspended in the air.

Behind the dragon bones was a coffin.

The Ancestral Dragon pulled the coffin, which was purple-black colored, and what kind of wood it was made from was unknown.

The pitch-blackness was akin to a vortex, so deep as to be unworthy of direct gaze, as if it sucked one’s mind into it.

“Young man, you aren’t old, but your tone is bold,” Qi Kuangyin sneered.

“If that’s the case, let’s first eliminate you.”

He exchanged glances with the black-robed man from the Vast State, and the two simultaneously moved to attack Xu Zimei.

“Weren’t you going to avenge yourself?” Xu Zimei glanced at Wu Zhaodi and said.

“Let him be your target.”

“He’s not my target for revenge, just someone to find some gain with regarding the Tianluan Immortal Palace,” Wu Zhaodi said.

As soon as the words fell, he found himself engaged in battle with Qi Kuangyin.

In Qi Kuangyin’s right hand, three Luans flew out, these three Luans were born of the palace’s Tianluan, not extreme but certainly strong enough.

However, when Wu Zhaodi conjured the Tianluan, Qi Kuangyin’s expression severely shifted.

“You are from the Immortal Palace,” Qi Kuangyin asked.

But in the next moment, he realized.

“Possessing Tianluan, at your age, it seems you are indeed a fugitive sought by the Immortal Palace.”

“Fugitive?” Wu Zhaodi, upon hearing this word, became even more invigorated.

“Who really is the fugitive, those who defy above will understand eventually.”

The Tianluan and three Luans collided, their powerful energies constantly rippling forth.

“I suggest you finish up quickly,” Xu Zimei said as he grabbed the black-robed man’s neck, directly separating his head and throwing it away.

Qi Kuangyin witnessed this, his heart filled with dread.

The black-robed man was matched in strength to himself, yet he was so directly defeated.

Xu Zimei ignored the two as he walked step by step towards the coffin pulled by the Ancestral Dragon.
