“As long as they killed our people from the Northern Hill, their forces are tied by the Cause and Effect relationship.”

“Aside from the Charm Technique, our Northern Hill is also famed for the Cause and Effect Technique.”

“I’ve never heard of that,” Xu Zimei said with a faint smile.

“It’s a secret matter to begin with; there’s no need to publicly declare it to others,” Ji Jiuning replied.

“My cultivation isn’t strong enough yet to directly calculate the individuals tied by causality.

But as long as I encounter them and you kill them, I can use the aura of their death to deduce who shares a causality with Northern Hill.”

Xu Zimei nodded lightly.

This Cause and Effect Technique, on a small scale, is a method to uncover celestial secrets, and ordinary people cannot wield it freely.

Using it would shorten one’s lifespan or even jeopardize their very life.

Ji Jiuning, in this instance, could be said to disregard her own life in pursuit of the murderer.

“I can only take you this far,” Xu Zimei said.

“That Evil Demon King is likely targeting me. I have no desire to clash with him at this time.”

“Targeting you?” Ji Jiuning asked, puzzled.

“No grudge nor feud—could it be because you barged into the Evil Demon Tower.”

“Anyway, I’m leaving. You can do as you wish,” Xu Zimei said dismissively, not intending to explain further.

“How can you leave? Upon entering the Battlefield of Ultimate Confrontation, there’s no such thing as leaving whenever you please,” Ji Jiuning retorted.

“Traditionally, only those who kill everyone and survive until the end can leave.”

Xu Zimei chuckled, his gaze directed toward the void.

He then said, “You two have been watching for quite a while. Do you not plan to reveal yourselves?”

“I thought my Concealment Technique was unparalleled here. How did Young Master Xu notice me?” a scholar-robed man’s laughter echoed.

Soon, the void rippled, and the scholar-robed man appeared alongside a child servant.

“You don’t need to know that,” Xu Zimei replied.

In truth, he had been warned by Sage Lv about being under surveillance.

But that detail wasn’t important, as Xu Zimei understood that nothing in this Battlefield of Ultimate Confrontation could escape the scholar-robed man’s eyes.

After White Emperor’s departure, he had become the Dominator here.

“I want to leave this place,” Xu Zimei said directly.

“What about the Great Saint at Young Master Xu’s side?” the scholar-robed man asked.

Xu Zimei realized he was referring to Crimson Blade Bull Demon but chose not to answer. He continued, “Either help me leave this place, or I’ll shatter this small world. Choose for yourself.”

“White Emperor’s world is not so easily shattered,” the child servant arrogantly interrupted from the side.

But he was quickly stopped by the scholar-robed man.

“I can help Young Master Xu leave, but remember one thing,” the scholar-robed man said.

“What is it?” Xu Zimei asked.

“We are not forever your enemies. In this world, even enemies can become allies,” the scholar-robed man replied.

“What about the Evil Demon King?” Xu Zimei asked.

“I cannot divulge that,” the scholar-robed man said firmly. With a wave of his hand, the entire world seemed to tremble.

A vortex was forcibly opened ahead, its immense presence seemingly drawing the entire world toward it.

“Thirty seconds. Leave as quickly as possible,” the scholar-robed man stated.

“Together?” Xu Zimei turned to Ji Jiuning.

Ji Jiuning hesitated only briefly before nodding.

With just three people remaining, she was likely no match for them. Without Xu Zimei, staying behind was futile.

The two stepped into the vortex in the void.

When their figures vanished completely and the vortex dissolved into nothingness, the child servant spoke hesitantly: “The Evil Demon King emerged to kill him. Why let him go?”

“Do you wish to serve as a lapdog for all eternity?” the scholar-robed man retorted.

“I fear the White Emperor,” the child servant murmured, his voice trailing off.

“Trust in the White Emperor,” the scholar-robed man replied concisely.

“We can’t alter grand schemes; we can only act within the limits we’re given.”

When Xu Zimei’s figure reappeared, he had returned to the White Emperor’s Mausoleum.

The moment he appeared, everyone’s gaze was fixed on him.

“How did you get out?” Chu Feiyang asked, bewildered.

“Isn’t it not over yet?”

“I withdrew,” Xu Zimei said with a faint smile.

“The Seven Gods Academy produces such cowards,” the Monster Temple abbot jeered.

“Scared off by a mere minor Evil Demon; I suppose that’s the extent of their abilities.”

“Backing down before even fighting. The Seven Gods Academy is growing increasingly pitiful,” the nearby Wujian Academy head followed up mockingly.

It seemed everyone wanted to ridicule Xu Zimei.

After all, he had defeated Heavenly King Xiang and then killed Seven Slash of Nine Ghosts Academy, posing the greatest threat.

“The Evil Demon has emerged,” Jiang Mozi, who had been silent all along, suddenly said calmly.

Attention shifted toward him.

The Hell Sea roiled furiously until it finally erupted.

Waves of blood were exploding endlessly, stirring the boundless Sea of Blood violently. Around the Hell Sea, three figures moved through the air.

Wang Nu, Mi Tian the little monk, and Emperor Feilian stood suspended above.

“Everyone, hold off on fighting and see what this phenomenon is about,” Mi Tian the little monk spoke first.

Unaware of the Evil Demon King’s emergence, they naturally didn’t understand the situation.

“Mere scum,” Emperor Feilian sneered coldly.

He readied the Feilian Bow in his grip and nocked the Feilian Arrow, firing seven shots simultaneously, each like stars chasing the sun, penetrating through the void and into the Sea of Blood.

The arrows pierced through everything en route, eventually sinking into the Sea of Blood.

“Explode,” Emperor Feilian said softly.

However, the anticipated detonation did not occur. Instead, the Sea of Blood became eerily still, akin to a Dead Sea, with no reaction whatsoever.

Emperor Feilian’s expression shifted as he realized his connection with the Feilian Arrow had been severed.

“Does a mere ant dare strike against me?” A massive hand suddenly emerged from within the Sea of Blood.

Without warning, Emperor Feilian found himself suppressed by an immense force, unable to resist.

He was instantly squeezed in the void by that colossal hand.

“Help he barely managed to utter before he was completely obliterated.

This wasn’t merely death; it was utter annihilation. A Great Emperor was killed so effortlessly.

The remaining two figures froze where they stood, their hairs standing on end as they gulped audibly.

“Run!” Mi Tian the little monk shouted.

The two fled madly toward the distance.

“Since you’re here, join my resurrection ceremony. Witness it together,” a voice cackled grotesquely from the Sea of Blood.

Two enormous hands then stretched out of the void, reaching for the fleeing duo.

Their faces twisted in horror.

“Buddha’s nature inherent,” Mi Tian the little monk shouted, unleashing rippling Dao clouds behind him.

The True Fate Emergence activated, and an immense power surged forth.

“Angry Bodhisattva descends!” Wang Nu roared decisively as well.

Behind him, a Furious Bodhisattva materialized, transforming him into a divine and imposing figure.

The intense radiance of Buddhalight enveloped them.

Realizing escape was futile, the duo unleashed a cataclysmic assault toward the colossal hands.

Two bombastic detonations resounded simultaneously.
