- Chapter 1235: Ji Shang, Chu Feixiong, Meeting the Mad Chu
“It’s almost time,” Xu Zimei looked at the gloomy, cloud-covered sky and smiled.
“If you leave, does that mean no one will play with me anymore?” The little girl asked innocently, her eyes wide open.
“There are so many people in the Chu family; how could there be no one?” Xu Zimei replied.
“They’re afraid to play with me, and Father won’t let anyone come near me,” the little girl said, disappointed.
“When did your illness begin?” Xu Zimei glanced at her and asked.
“I’ve had it since I was little, but a few days ago, Father obtained a miraculous medicine for me, and drinking it made me feel much better,” the little girl replied.
Xu Zimei nodded and said no more.
Above, the voice of the North Fox grew increasingly sharp. The sky was clearly now enveloped by a swarm of countless foxes.
“Chaos… the more chaotic, the better,” he muttered softly to himself.
At the gates of Chu Manor, Chu Feiyang restrained his expression and smiled faintly. “Ancestor Yunfei must have misunderstood something. The death of those two from the Northern Hill clan grieves us deeply, but it truly wasn’t our doing.”
“Whether it’s a misunderstanding or not, bring out your youngest daughter, and we’ll know the truth,” Ji Yunfei said mildly.
“My youngest has been plagued by illness since childhood and isn’t fit to meet people. This is a well-known fact. Why must Ancestor Yunfei make things difficult?” Chu Feiyang replied, his smile fading.
“Is it that she can’t meet people, or are you just too afraid?” Ji Yunfei scoffed coldly.
“No more words are needed. The death of the North Fox will not go unpunished.”
At his command, countless North Hill foxes emerged from the void to attack.
They surrounded the Chu Manor completely. Ji Yunfei’s voice boomed from the void, “The Northern Hill clan will only declare war against the Chu family. All others stay away from the Chu family; you will not be attacked.”
“Ancestor Yunfei, must it come to this?” Chu Feiyang looked up, his gaze heavy as he asked.
“This was provoked by your Chu family. Why lay the blame on us?” Ji Yunfei replied.
As the North Foxes launched their attack, explosions echoed loudly from within the Chu family grounds.
Furious voices followed.
“Who dares trespass upon my Chu family?”
As the words fell, several powerful figures emerged, radiating immense might.
“It’s the Chu family’s six protectors,” someone murmured from outside.
“Patriarch Chu, we won’t get involved in this matter; it’s best for you to resolve it yourselves,” Jiang Mozi smiled and withdrew from the gates of Chu Manor.
The other major factions, observing this, also hastily retreated.
To them, this was akin to dogs fighting—an amusing sight of mutual destruction.
At this moment, anyone intervening would end up with nothing but feathers caught in their teeth.
The North Foxes quickly clashed with the Chu family members, and chaos erupted. The sprawling Chu Manor instantly became the epicenter of the battle.
Buildings collapsed in swathes, and the sound of roaring cries filled the air.
In the midst of the fight, Chu Feiyang looked upwards at Ji Yunfei and asked, “What exactly do you want?
You Northern Hill folks don’t yet have the power to destroy our Chu family.”
“We’ll see,” Ji Yunfei replied.
At that moment, a Heaven-covering Great Palm descended from the void, enveloping the area where Ji Yunfei stood.
Unable to dodge in time, he was struck down from the void by the palm’s sheer power.
“In my Chu family, don’t stand too high, or the fall will be hard,” a man’s voice echoed.
Ji Yunfei landed on the ground, cautiously surveying his surroundings.
From the Chu Manor emerged a man, dragon-like in his gait and tiger-like in his steps. He was clothed in a bright red long robe.
The man had silvery hair tied high atop his head. Though aged, his spirit was vigorous, his complexion radiant.
A formidable aura surged from his body.
“Heaven Venerable,” someone muttered gravely, watching the man emerge.
The final realm of the Great Emperor Realm, but a step away from the Great Saint.
“It’s Chu Feixiong!” someone exclaimed.
“The 160th Family Head of the Chu family, hailed as the greatest patriarch in Chu family history.”
“Indeed, it’s thanks to him that the Chu family has reached such heights.”
“Old Patriarch, it’s been a long time,” Chu Feixiong had barely stepped out of the manor when laughter echoed from the void.
Chu Feixiong’s gaze sharpened as he looked toward the firmament.
Descending from the sky was an elder with extraordinary temperament, riding an Immortal Fox.
The Immortal Fox had two wings, its fur as pure as snow, and its azure eyes as blue as the ocean.
The Immortal seated on its back wore an Immortal Robe that fluttered amidst Immortal Qi. His beard was as white as his hair, and his eyes emanated clarity and wisdom.
The fusion of pure energy and Immortal Qi made it impossible to distinguish whether he was immortal or human.
“Ji Shang,” Chu Feixiong said, his gaze unwavering.
“Ah, your Chu family… it’s truly regressing,” Ji Shang sneered coldly from the firmament.
“Indeed, this is the fault of my Chu family. Name your condition,” Chu Feixiong pondered for a moment and replied.
“No conditions, only blood for blood,” Ji Yunfei interjected.
“Then there’s nothing to discuss,” Chu Feixiong declared resolutely.
“Fight.”
As the word “fight” fell, a tremendous surge of power shot from his body into the void.
The Fire Profound Meaning ignited around him as Chu Feixiong rose into the air, long sword aflame, charging at Ji Shang.
The Immortal Fox let out a resounding cry, shattering the silence of the void as it unleashed its unparalleled feathers. Ice and fire intertwined in their collision.
The two forces were immense; their clash instantly sealed the void.
One half turned into the Soul of Ice, while the other burned with raging flames.
The onlookers had no choice but to scatter.

“I must leave,” Xu Zimei stood up in the secluded small courtyard, smiling as he spoke.
“Big Brother is leaving?” the little girl asked hurriedly.
“Having understood the cause, it is natural to leave,” Xu Zimei said.
“The water isn’t murky enough yet; I shall stir it further.”
“Then when will Big Brother return?” the little girl continued to ask.
“I won’t return,” Xu Zimei waved dismissively.
Before leaving, he plucked a leaf from the Tree of Life and handed it to the little girl.
“Though it can’t cure your illness, it will ensure a century of peace.”
After departing from the courtyard, his Divine Sense swept across the entire Chu family, and with a contemplative gaze, he looked toward the depths of the estate.
Soon, his figure vanished into the void.
Thunder Python Valley, the Forbidden Land of the Chu family.
According to Chu family members, a Thunder Python of the Emperor Realm resided in the valley.
This Thunder Python was merely a guardian beast.
To have a monster of the Emperor Realm as a protector, one could only imagine the power of the one it protected.
Throughout history, only the Family Head had ever been permitted to enter.
When Xu Zimei reappeared, he was already standing at the entrance to Thunder Python Valley.
“This feels right. It’s here,” he murmured to himself, stepping forward.
But as he approached the valley, he was stopped.
“The Forbidden Land lies ahead; halt your steps,” three Bronze Men appeared to block his path, hands raised in a gesture of reverence.
“I wish to see Mad Chu,” Xu Zimei stated directly.
