Chapter 1517: Chapter 1517: Ancient Tomb

“Devlin!”

Suddenly.

A voice exploded like rolling Heavenly Thunder!

“Who!”

The coalition leaders looked up to the sky, but at just past five in the morning, the sky was still dark, and they couldn’t see anything.

Yet the voice was unmistakable.

“You have ten minutes to leave this area! After ten minutes, within the range of my sword, corpses will pile into mountains!”

“Ah, so it’s the Saint Master!” Devlin laughed loudly, “I’ve heard you’ve recently been so lost in Gabriel Young’s embrace that you forgot yourself? Have you forgotten Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance has already established a new Saint Master? Have you forgotten your maid poisoned you? Have you forgotten that I, Devlin, am still alive!”

As he said this, Devlin gritted his teeth!

Hatred!

Centuries of hatred erupted without restraint!

He had endlessly searched for ways to kill the Saint Master, yet he had failed time and again!

If he couldn’t kill him—then he would destroy him!

Destroy him completely!

“I haven’t forgotten the first two things, but the third… I must admit, I did forget.”

Julius Reed’s voice emanated from nowhere: “After all, some small people aren’t worth remembering.”

“You…” Devlin laughed furiously, “In that case, I hope the Saint Master won’t disappoint me!”

“Mr. Devlin!”

“We surrender! We wish to follow you! Please treat us kindly!”

“Starting today, we are willing to vacate our homes, only asking for a place to survive.”

Four elderly men emerged from the street, hands carrying ornate boxes, respectfully bowing before Devlin.

“We are prepared to submit.”

Thud!

The four elders knelt in unison.

“Good! Excellent!” Devlin nodded calmly, “Those who recognize current realities are true heroes. Since you’ve chosen submission, I won’t treat you poorly.”

“Thank you, Mr. Devlin!”

One elder then stood and raised the box high: “Inside here is my family’s most valuable treasure, please accept it graciously!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the other three elders also stood and presented their treasures.

“Good!” Devlin nodded, beckoning slightly.

Four steward-like individuals appeared from behind them and respectfully knelt.

“This is…”

The four clan leaders exchanged glances, utterly confused.

Why did their own stewards suddenly show up?

“Father, it seems it’s not just our family; Devlin tells the same story to every steward.” Sherwood Weatherby and Jacob Weatherby stood behind the Young family’s Grandmasters, alongside Gabriel Young, observing from afar.

“Hah! Such trickery!” Jacob Weatherby scoffed, shaking his head helplessly, “I wonder what they’re thinking, believing anything Devlin says without investigating his character. If they had, they’d see right through his lies.”

He sighed heavily afterward.

“Father, what do you mean?” Sherwood Weatherby, still young, couldn’t grasp the full implications.

“Burn bridges, drain resources,” Jacob Weatherby shook his head. “Negotiating with a tiger, they’ll suffer for it.”

The four clan leaders, however, remained oblivious to the looming danger.

“Mr. Devlin, the Young family killed my Cook Family Head, Gino Cook. This is a grudge carved deep in my bones! Our Cook family will certainly serve you wholeheartedly to destroy the Young family!”

The Cook family spoke, then looked smugly at the other three families.

Such a deep-seated vendetta—a natural advantage.

“We also wish to help!” The other three families quickly chimed in, fearful of being too slow and displeasing Devlin.

“Very well.” Devlin nodded, “You all look exhausted; let me send you somewhere to get a good rest.”

“Where to?” The four asked excitedly, unaware of the danger yet.

They thought their lives were spared.

Most of their treasures were already hidden away.

“Hell!”

As Devlin spoke, the four stewards drew their blades!

Slash!

Blood splattered everywhere!

The four clan leaders died bewildered in the middle of the street.

“Once I destroy the Young family, you four will lead my men to retrieve all their treasures!” Devlin finished speaking, and the four stewards immediately knelt, “Thank you, Mr. Devlin!”

Sherwood Weatherby swallowed hard.

If he hadn’t listened to Jacob Weatherby, would he have been killed already?

A lingering fear.

A deep sense of fear.

“The wisdom of age.” Jacob Weatherby murmured.

“Saint Master, if you don’t show yourself, I won’t hesitate to slaughter the entire Young family. But if you come willingly, I might spare them.” Devlin, mounted atop a tall horse, spoke coldly.

Yet.

There was no response.

“You’ve forced my hand!” Devlin growled, clenching his fist tightly!

With just a motion of his hand, the artillery shells would reduce the street to ruins!

“Devlin, you’ll never defeat me in your lifetime. Remember this—you’re just a small man, forever beneath notice!”

Julius Reed’s voice suddenly emanated from the speaker behind Gabriel Young.

The speaker’s quality was excellent—it sounded precisely like a human voice.

“What is this?” Sherwood Weatherby noticed the speaker and froze in disbelief.

This…

Not here?

An empty city ruse?

His legs nearly gave way, and he almost collapsed.

Jacob Weatherby also realized belatedly.

The Saint Master had clearly been here earlier!

Where had he gone?

“Miss Young, Mr. Reed…” Jacob Weatherby asked in a low voice.

“He’s not here. But before leaving, he assured me we won’t be harmed.” Gabriel Young calmly replied.

Yet her heart was pounding with anxiety.

The Saint Master wasn’t present!

What now?

If Devlin attacked, wouldn’t they all perish?

“Saint Master! Are you still deluding yourself to reality?” Devlin roared with rage upon hearing this.

Humiliation!

His strength stripped away by the Saint Master!

No longer human nor ghost!

Barely clinging to life!

“Kill them all! Leave no one alive!”

Slash!

The words barely ended!

A long spear pierced through the void, skewering several artillery soldiers in one strike.

Then!

A figure swept through the dawn, appearing on the street.

“Who goes there!”

Devlin’s heart sank.

With a weapon style completely different from Andrew!

Though wielding a spear, Andrew’s technique was precise and calculated.

But this man before him fought with wild abandon!

Devlin immediately urged his warhorse to retreat, pushing the Great Grandmasters ahead to defend.

The Saint Master—

Where was the Saint Master?

Why couldn’t he see the Saint Master’s shadow?

“You, alone with one spear—against my force of ten thousand! Let’s see if your spear is faster than my artillery!”

Having calmed down, Devlin sneered, “What a pity—it seems you’re going to die.”

“Is that so?” Otniel Harsh smiled suddenly, “But every time, it’s always my foes that perish!”

Boom!

He leapt up violently!

The spear swept across!

Slash!

Several Grandmasters, unable to dodge, were instantly cut down!

Meanwhile, the ground began to quake.

“I suppose you’ve never experienced the wrath of my Royal Iron Cavalry,” Otniel Harsh brandished his spear, looking towards Devlin’s rear.

It was Grace River’s order.

As the agreed price for Julius Reed curing the emperor’s young sibling.

Of course.

Even if the emperor’s sibling hadn’t been in trouble, Grace River would still have acted.

But Julius Reed simply disliked owing debts.

“Royal…” Devlin’s heart skipped.

The Royal troops had arrived—what about the Saint Master?

He turned back.

Behind him was a massive horde of heavy cavalry…

At this moment.

Julius Reed stood at the foot of a mountain, thirty miles outside Swimming City.

As the dawn broke, the mist veiling the mountain valley started to clear.

Wind swept past.

Revealing the stone gate at the mountain’s base.

Behind the stone gate lay the ancient tomb of the Azure Emperor.
