She looked up to him tremendously.

Zhou Yanlin had never seen her like this before, so he teased her, “You said it. You have to wait for me to come back after my studies.”

He really did feel uncertain and wanted some promise.

Hearing this, Gu Joy firmly nodded, “Definitely.”

Zhou Yanlin finally smiled; he stroked her head, “Good girl.”

Gu Joy gave him a puzzled look; why was he treating her like a little dog?

“Do you have anything to do this afternoon? You can go ahead if you’re busy,” Gu Joy said, wanting to sit and enjoy the sunlight.

“I’m not particularly busy. I’ll just sit here and accompany you while you read,” Zhou Yanlin said, not wanting to do anything but spend quality time with Gu Joy.

He estimated that he’d be leaving next month; there wasn’t much time left.

Before leaving, he would definitely have to visit his parents, so there wouldn’t be much time to spend with Gu Joy.

“Alright then, I’ll read my book. It’s so comfortable here.” Gu Joy stretched herself.
