Chapter 1808: Chapter 1458: Great Void Delimitation_2

Li Fan tried to piece together the hidden secrets behind this experimental space based on the clues he currently held.

“The Path-obliterating Calamity appears to have the same origin as the Infinite Sea.”

“After I used the incomplete Ascension Platform to interface with the Infinite Sea, I discovered that as I drew upon the Power of Infinity from within the Infinite Sea, countless droplets would cascade down from that unknowable sacred place, engulfing all things in the world. The premonition was so vivid that the instinctual fear it brought about even made the barely emotional Puppet hesitate to press that button.”

“But in this world, countless True Immortals exist, along with Immortal Instruments, Immortal Servants, and various Fairy Puppets. They use the Infinite Immortal Spirit Power without such concerns. The celestial spiritual power emanating from within the Dissociation Disc undoubtedly illustrates this point.” Such was Li Fan’s thoughts, and an extremely divine force surged forth from the Immortal Array Dissolution Disc.

Li Fan wrapped his fingers in luminous white light, sensing its limitless nature as he seemed to witness the boundless expanse of the Infinite Sea.

“In the Mortal World, surely there cannot exist a second Infinite Sea.”

“And the Immortal World initially didn’t have much fear concerning the ravage of the Path-obliterating Calamity, like mortals seeing a flood with True Immortals stationed to guard.”

“A reasonable inference is that the Immortal World of yore was perfectly aware that invoking the power of the Infinite Sea would trigger the calamity of Path-obliteration. Yet, the allure of infinity made it impossible for True Immortals to abandon utilizing the Infinite Sea.”

“They even constructed things akin to [Dams] and [Reservoirs] upon the Infinite Sea. All True Immortals didn’t directly connect to the Infinite Sea but transposed through the reservoirs and dams created by the Immortal World, thus avoiding the dreadful disaster of the Infinite Sea cascading down and the Path-obliterating Calamity descending upon the world.”

“But…”

“The Infinite Sea is unimaginably grand and sacred. Even the Nameless Immortals cannot compare to a single wave that occasionally rises within the Infinite Sea.”

“Even though the civilization of the Immortal World once developed to limit the Infinite Sea to a certain extent. But…”

Li Fan recalled that when Hai Zhen stood upon the Infinite Sea, he encountered myriad terrifying and obscure fluctuations emanating from beneath its depths.

“Those who play with fire must inevitably burn themselves to ashes.”

“There are no eternally impregnable dams in the world; once a breach opens, sealing it again becomes exceedingly difficult. Moreover, there are many True Immortals, whether by chance or intent, that seek to bypass the restrictions placed by the Immortal World and connect directly to the Infinite Sea, just as I have done.”

“Every occurrence of this is akin to tearing open another fissure between the real world and the Infinite Sea.”

“Over time, the Path-obliterating Calamity grows ever fiercer; this outcome is inevitable.”

Li Fan’s thoughts raced as he continued his derivations.

“Signs of tribulation manifest, one Star Domain after another in the Immortal World is annihilated.”

“Hai Zhen, this Supreme Treasure holding the ability to defy destiny, is speculated to originate from the Infinite Sea as well. Although the Immortal World may not know its exact function, they can vaguely surmise that it might completely resolve this world-ending crisis. Thus, they secretly began seeking it everywhere, with the search even encompassing the Lower Realm Star Sea.”

“They deduced the approximate time when Hai Zhen might appear. And Hai Zhen was indeed supposed to emerge at that time…”

“Appearing within the Xuanhuang World once discovered by the Immortal World’s power. If the Immortal World Overlords or Nameless Immortals had initially seized Hai Zhen, perhaps Hai Zhen could turn the tide and nip the calamity of the Path-obliterating Calamity in the bud.”

“However, for some unknown reason, Hai Zhen’s appearance was delayed.”

“The Immortal World did not receive this savior-like Supreme Treasure.”

“The general situation remains stable, yet thoughts born from dissent exist, as it should.”

“Just as I observed in the memory of that True Immortal; those in high positions have their ideas, just as ants have their ways of survival.”

“True Immortals employ various methods, each seeking their way to survive.”

“There’s transforming mortals into Immortals, using Nameless remains, the Immortal Heavenly Pillars, crafting a world-saving ship from Immortal Domain Fragments…”

“Yet none foresaw the Path-obliterating Calamity erupting early, and with a magnitude far exceeding anything prior. It seemed all channels linking the Infinite Sea to the present world exploded with a resounding boom. A cataclysmic disaster suddenly struck.”

“Caught off guard, True Immortals, Nameless Immortals, and even the currently unknown overlords of the Immortal World perished like ants…”

Before Li Fan’s eyes, it was as if the Infinite Sea was pouring down, destroying the Immortal World in a terrifying scene.

“Though many Nameless Immortals were willing or forced to transform themselves into pillars to withstand the Path-obliterating Calamity, how long could they possibly endure?”

“The engulfment of the Infinite Sea upon the Real World is an unstoppable trend unless during this brief spell of safety, the construction of the old [Dams] of the Immortal World upon the multitude of breaches can be accomplished. Otherwise…”

Li Fan inadvertently glanced at the doomsday countdown on Hai Zhen’s panel.

“The Infinite Sea seems to traverse all possibilities.”

“The Path-obliterating Calamity is certainly not confined to my [Primordial] possibility.”

“Perhaps many have similarly discovered and made use of the Infinite Sea, falling into comparably grave calamities. Or perhaps, after the Great Calamity years ago, Nameless Immortals from the [Primordial] possibility fled, seeking other possibilities.”

“Though they leap through possibilities, as long as they haven’t abandoned the Infinite Immortal Spirit Power, the connection to the Infinite Sea persists. Moreover, at the Realm of Nameless Immortal where Unity-Path is attained, discarding it isn’t as simple as wanting to discard it.”

“The Path-obliterating Calamity follows like a shadow, inundating the world in succession…”

Pursuing his derivation to this point, even with abilities comparable to those of the Transformation Stone Mother, Li Fan couldn’t help feeling tiny headaches starting to appear.

It’s alright as long as it involves individual possibilities.

Numerous clues converged, deriving countless possible answers which Li Fan scrutinized one by one, selecting the closest one to the factual truth.

But once it touches upon other possibilities, the difficulty of derivation suddenly increases several magnitudes.

Firstly, because Li Fan currently knows nothing of other possibilities’ states. What he knows is insufficient.

Secondly, every added level of possibility doubles the variables involved in the derivation. In theory, with infinite possibilities, even thousands of Transformation Stone Mothers allied would fall short.

“Nonetheless, despite the Path-obliterating Calamity’s rampant devastation. The remaining possibilities that exist within the Mortal World are likely far from infinite. A remaining lifespan of over seven million years…”

“Perhaps merely surviving desperately is a more apt description.”

Li Fan’s mind spun to its utmost, suddenly everything went black before his eyes, forcing him to halt his derivation.

His attention temporarily disengaged from the Immortal World and the true nature of the Path-obliterating Calamity, returning to that enigmatic experiment site.

“Here, the original purpose was probably meant to await Hai Zhen.”

“But since ultimately Hai Zhen didn’t appear as anticipated, this place was then abandoned by the official Immortal World.”

“Yet this is only on the surface.”

“Some small figures in the Immortal World haven’t completely given up, nor have they left this place. However, their target is likely not Hai Zhen.”

“They simply want to find a glimmer of survival in the impending Path-obliterating Calamity.”

“Creating the circumscribing methods capable of producing a [Great Void], undoubtedly must involve the assistance of Nameless Realm True Immortals…”

“Still, why did all these people suddenly vanish?”

“Judging by the traces left from the past, the True Immortals gathered here were certainly not few.”

Li Buren inspected the experimental site anew, attempting to uncover more secrets.

His gaze swept around until suddenly, it focused on one object that inexplicably appeared later within the cylindrical hall.

A uniquely shaped Human Puppet statue.

It stood silently like a reclusive sage hidden within a court, nearly escaping Li Buren’s notice.

If not for its distinctive style, which bore remarkable resemblance to something Li Fan had encountered before,

Li Buren might indeed have overlooked it.
