Chapter 310: Me And My Space Comprehension

“And what kind of abilities come from that understanding?” I asked.

“Well,” she said, “some of the basic skills that come from mastering static space include space cleaving, which is slicing through still space, spatial teleportation by locking coordinates, and space locking, preventing movement within a specific region. All of these rely on understanding and fixing space, not bending or flowing it.”

I nodded, absorbing every word.

“So,” I asked, “how do I actually proceed?”

Azalea gave me a small smile, stepping aside slightly to give me space.

“It’s simple in theory,” she said.

“Sit down. Focus. Merge your senses with the spatial ripples being generated by the core. Don’t think too hard about it, just feel how space shifts around the ripples. Let it speak to you.”

I looked toward the floating sphere of the core, its surface gently pulsing with rhythmic waves, like a heartbeat echoing through the air.

The spatial ripples it gave off were faint to the normal eye, but I could already sense their presence tugging faintly at the edges of my Psynapse.

I exhaled and let my thoughts settle. Then I activated my skill.

[Psynapse Fracture].

Instantly, two fractures formed this time, both humming softly behind my eyes, like twin rays of focused thought splitting through fog. I directed both fractures toward the spatial ripples coming from the core, sharpening my awareness and locking onto every subtle shift, every delicate pulse.

I dropped to the ground and crossed my legs, letting my body sink into stillness.

I closed my eyes.

And then… I reached.

The fractures widened and my senses pushed out like fingers through water, reaching for the ripples, brushing against them.

At first, it felt vague, like trying to feel wind while wearing a thick jacket. But I didn’t pull back. I let the ripples flow into me, let my Psynapse absorb their rhythm, their structure.

Space wasn’t empty. That was the first thing I learned.

Everything that existed, every object, every fragment of matter….existed within space. And just by existing, they left behind a trace. A signature.

The ripples radiating from the core weren’t random, they interacted with everything around them in distinct ways. When those spatial fluctuations touched me, I felt a specific response, unique to my presence. But when they collided with the walls of the chamber, the reaction was entirely different, more solid, more rigid.

It was like each object in the space resonated with the ripples in its own frequency, its own pattern, marking its place in the world.

And with that came understanding.

Every object had its place, defined by its distance from everything else. It was the relationship between fixed points that gave space meaning.

One point existed because another did. And in that stillness, I could feel the invisible lines connecting everything, anchoring them in place like pins on a map.

I began to think about my own abilities, Spatial Lock and Sanctum of Judgement.

It had always worked, because I commanded them to work through my Absolute Law. But now I tried to feel them. Understand them from within.

Spatial Lock… it worked by anchoring the region in place. It forced the surrounding particles to hold position. But how? I focused my second Psynapse fracture into that skill’s memory trail. I had never questioned how it truly held space still, it just did.

But now I began to unravel its layers. It wasn’t a suppression, it was a recognition. The skill simply made the space aware of its own stillness and refused to let it forget.

And that gave me an idea.

The Soul Shackle skill allowed me to trap entities and pull their abilities or traits from them.

Until now, I had focused on strength, on power.

But if I hunted Abominations that used space-warping abilities… then their memories, their instincts, and their natural link to space law would become mine to study.

It wouldn’t just be brute forcing comprehension anymore. I could learn the way they felt space. The way their instincts moved through it. I could contrast that with what I was doing now.

Azalea stood quietly to the side, watching without interrupting. She must have sensed the shift in my thinking, maybe she even guessed what I was planning.

I took a deep breath and let both of my Psynapse fractures sink even deeper into the ripples of space. The stillness surrounded me, heavy and steady, like I was drifting into a world that didn’t move, only existed.

The longer I stayed in that place, the clearer everything became. I wasn’t just feeling the space around me, I was beginning to understand it.

The tiny shifts, the echoes of objects, the silence between them. I didn’t know how much time had passed, but I could feel it. I was close. Close to something important. Like I was just about to touch a new layer of understanding.

My Psynapse was working overtime, but it didn’t feel like a struggle. It sorted through the signals effortlessly. I had two fractures focused on the task, helping me pull apart the information with more precision than ever before. And just as I was about to push further—

—I felt it.

A sudden mental nudge through my link with Silver.

Without hesitation, I opened my eyes and stood. I left the chamber and reappeared on the floating island outside.

My wings spread wide, and in the next moment, I launched into the air. A beat of wind later, I dove down fast, straight toward the mountains where I had left Silver.

I landed beside him in seconds.

Steve was already there, standing near Silver. His clothes were soaked in blood, and he carried the stench of abomination rot. Cuts and bruises marked his skin, but he stood tall.

I scanned him quickly. His level had reached 100.

“So, you’re done?” I asked.

He nodded. “Yeah. I’m ready to begin the evolution.”

“Good,” I said, giving him a pat on the back. “Let’s take you to the castle.”

I opened a swirling portal to the chamber. It came naturally to me now….from anywhere in the realm, I could summon a direct portal to the core. As the portal opened beside me, I sent Silver back with a thought, and then stepped inside. Steve followed closely behind.

Inside, Azalea was still floating calmly in the center of the chamber. She turned as we approached.

“He’s ready,” I said.

She nodded.

“Perfect. Steve, finish your class evolution first. After that, you can think about what kind of physical trait you want next.”

Then she looked at me.

“And Billion, once he decides, you’ll have to go hunt down a creature that fits the pattern.”

I gave a small grin.

“Sounds like a plan.”

Steve glanced at me and asked, “Should I do it here?”

I gave a small shrug and nodded. “Yeah, shouldn’t be a problem. This place can handle it.”

Without another word, he walked over to one of the chamber’s corners and sat down cross-legged. His eyes closed, and his breathing steadied as he began focusing on his evolution.

I took a step back, watching him quietly.

I already knew his class path, a swordsman built for speed and precision. The kind of fighter who aimed to end battles in a single, deadly strike. Instant death. That was his approach.

As I stood there, my mind wandered. What kind of physical trait would make that goal even more effective?

Strangely, the first thing that came to mind was space.

If Steve could shift through space freely, appear behind an enemy or close a gap without a step, it would turn him into something far more dangerous. Not just a swordsman, but something closer to an assassin. A silent, lethal ghost with a blade.

Not the kind of person you’d see coming.

A swordsman who could cut from a place no one expected… that was terrifying. And if we could give him even a basic spatial trait ….maybe something like short-range blinking, or ignoring distance, it would transform how he fought entirely.

I looked over at him again, still deep in his process, and let out a quiet breath.
