Chapter 764: Chapter 764: The Nurturing of Heaven and Earth
Crack!
This strange rock emitted a crisp sound, developing cracks that intertwined as Qi flowed out, fissuring the stone.
“Ah…”
A True God of the Celestials Clan exclaimed in shock, his eyes widening as he witnessed an outsider daring to snatch treasure within the First Divine Mine of the Celestials Clan.
“Mother Qi!” someone’s voice trembled with certainty that they were not mistaken, their body shaking, eyes bloodshot as they frantically gave chase.
“Swoosh!”
In an instant, four individuals made their move. Four True Gods materialized and launched an attack on Shi Hao, determined not to let him escape.
“Be careful, don’t let the strange rock get damaged!” one True God warned with a low roar, the startling turn of events had exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Shi Hao was resolute, carrying the strange rock on his back to block their talisman lights to protect himself; seeing that the pursuers were wary of damaging the object, he had no reason to hesitate.
“You little beast!” A True God bellowed furiously, forcibly retracting the Bone Text he had unleashed, not daring to strike hard for fear of damaging the mysterious rock.
Crack!
Indeed, the rock was incredibly fragile; the mere act of Shi Hao running with it on his back caused a few more terrifying cracks to emerge.
“Do you wish to destroy a celestial treasure? Put it down now, or you shall be a sinner through the ages, a hundred lives aren’t enough for atonement!” A True God shouted angrily, his fists clenched.
Furthermore, he spat out a series of characters, transforming into metallic symbols that collided and sparked like stars, clashing with a clanging sound. These tangible symbols linked up, forming a Divine Chain that sought to ensnare Shi Hao and halt his escape.
With a “whoosh,” Shi Hao turned into a beam of light, shifting sideways for dozens of meters, navigating through the vast underground mine and dodging the strike, his speed making the True Gods apprehensive.
How could he be so fast? The pupils of the four pursuers contracted with fear that he might get away.
“This may really be Mother Qi, nourishing an entity of sacred divinity that’s taking form. It cannot be lost!” The four True Gods became anxious.
They believed there was something unusual inside the rock, perhaps the blood or a relic of an Immortal, a Spirit Communication object, sealed within and currently undergoing a transformation.
Boom!
The four struck again, not targeting Shi Hao himself but instead attempting to block his path and interfere with his progress, with Bone Text filling every inch of space.
Just then, using an inconceivable movement technique, Shi Hao evaded the attack, his flesh seemingly twisting in the void, shrinking hundreds of yards into inches, slipping through the Bone Text zone.
This was a demonstration of the Ground Shrinking Technique evolved to a certain realm, his form blurring and avoiding numerous attacks, turning into a wisp of smoke and reappearing elsewhere.
“Stop him!”
One of them shouted, stomping with great force. The ancient mine lit up as an Order Divine Chain emerged, slashing at Shi Hao’s waist like a sharp blade, an utterly unexpected assault.
Clearly, the underground mine was rigged with setups, containing arrays that now came into effect, capable of killing even a True God.
Shi Hao’s expression changed, faint wings materialized behind him, and he vibrated them violently. Initially, he charged forward like a beam of light, but now abruptly changed direction, defying common sense.
This was the Kun Peng Movement Technique, allowing one to reverse direction in mid-air!
“Whoosh!”
The Order Divine Chain missed, cutting a section of the mine in half and bursting out of the ground, exploding overhead in the grasslands.
Such was the terrifying force of the strike!
At this moment, all the high-ranking experts of the Celestials Clan in the region were alerted and swarmed over, especially the True Gods, each radiating light like small suns, illuminating the heavens and earth.
Every heart boiled with fury and indignation. Who would dare to do such a thing? A single individual had penetrated the forbidden domain of the Celestials Clan, seizing creation. This was unprecedented!
Even major schools would not act in such a manner, because this would be tantamount to declaring war; it would inevitably lead to countless deaths and injuries in a major conflict, with extremely serious consequences.
“Whoosh!”
Shi Hao ran, and another divine light sprang up from within the cave, almost enveloping him, narrowly escaping in the nick of time.
Luckily, there were not many prohibitions in the cave, as miners came every day to extract Divine Materials. If too many terrible arrays were laid down, they could entangle and harm their own people.
On the run, the strange rock on Shi Hao’s shoulder occasionally emitted cracking sounds, and the Qi of the great road it leaked became even denser.
In the depths of the underground ancient mine, countless dark tunnels stretched for hundreds to thousands of miles, forming a labyrinth. Shi Hao entered a side passage and plunged straight into it.
These were newly excavated tunnels carved out over hundreds and thousands of years, in addition to many older, spider-web-like tunnels from ancient times sprawling through the distant depths.
Naturally, this provided Shi Hao with numerous opportunities to escape. Meanwhile, eleven True Gods were still in pursuit, traversing through various caves and coordinating their chase.
“Crack!”
Suddenly, a loud noise rang out as the strange rock Shi Hao carried broke off a piece. Originally four yards long, now a full yard had fallen off, smashing onto the ground.
“Has it been destroyed?” Shi Hao was startled, the stone was too fragile; simply carrying it on the run caused it to crack.
“Dare to do this, killing you a thousand times would still be insufficient to atone for your sins!” The True Gods from behind were panic-stricken by such a terrible situation.
They believed that besides possibly containing an “Immortal Seed,” there might also be a sacred treasure taking form, a celestial material beyond imagination. If it were to be destroyed, it would be a great pity.
Otherwise, it might become a cornerstone for the Celestials Clan, used to establish their power.
Extraordinary treasures of heaven and earth, when newly born and nurtured, are accompanied by Mother Qi, which nourishes their spirituality until they fully take shape and then vanishes.
Any object of this kind is an ultimate rarity, its value immeasurable, and upon emergence, it would drive people mad with desire!
Shi Hao glanced back and noticed that the fallen piece was not the main body; its emitted Qi quickly dissipated, while the mist from the giant stone he continued to carry became even thicker.
He did not wish to put down the stone he carried, for he wanted to use it as a shield to block the True Gods’ attacks from behind, making them hesitant to strike with full force.
“Something’s not right. With my speed, I should have long since left the ancient mine, but why am I still circling around, wandering through all these tunnels?”
Shi Hao sensed something unusual. The place was too strange, like a maze; he felt he might have lost direction, likely misled by an array, which was extremely bad news.
“Boom!”
Shi Hao rammed forward, not following the paths of the underground palace, but breaking through the rock walls instead, setting his own direction and cutting his own path ahead.
“Boom!”
Suddenly, a tremendous force emerged, utterly unexpected, emanating from beneath the ground. It aimed to pulverize Shi Hao into mincemeat through his feet—a True God was making his move without any reservation.
Shi Hao wanted to block it with the strange rock but to no avail; the radiant Bone Text was clearly visible, blossoming in this area.
At the same time, the rock wall exploded, revealing a vast and open space where several True Gods appeared, blocking the way.
“Is he dead?” one of them asked.
Soon, to everyone’s surprise, they discovered a glowing light at the center of the space, gentle and pure, which blocked the brilliant Bone Text and left the center unaffected.
“A Guardian Talisman, what level is this?” Several True Gods were shocked.
In the center, Shi Hao was carrying a huge stone, completely unharmed. A layer of light enveloped him, one of the ancient imprints he had brought from the ruins containing the Three-life Copper Coffin.
This was why Shi Hao dared to risk everything for this venture. This talisman could withstand the explosion of the small world contained within the bronze precious box, and not even the immense cracks in the infinite void could destroy it; it was certainly capable of blocking an attack from a True God.
The only concern for him was the potential depletion of the talisman from this, which would be a huge waste.
“Unscathed?!” Shi Hao was thrilled. Not a single strike from the True God could add a crack to the ancient talisman; it was intact, a Talismanic Seal that could be used multiple times.
“Swoosh!”
Before the light screen dispersed, Shi Hao twisted his body and fled into the distance with an inconceivable movement technique, pursued by several grim-faced True Gods at high speed.
That he possessed a Mysterious Bone Scripture had taken them by surprise. With such an item in hand, how could he be just an ordinary disciple of the schools? His background must be extraordinary.
Crack!
A snapping sound followed, even more definitive this time. The strange rock directly broke off two meters, causing Shi Hao’s heart to skip a beat. He quickly threw away the piece in his hands and picked up the rock material on the ground because that was where the road’s aura emerged from.
Behind him, the True Gods from the Celestials Clan darkened as panic and fury intertwined. If the rock was destroyed, they would bear a tremendous responsibility.
“The aura is even more intense. Indeed, it is an unimaginable treasure, most likely truly containing an ‘Immortal Seed’, capable of achieving the most astonishing evolutions.”
One True God trembled with excitement. If the Celestials Clan obtained it, they might be able to cultivate a surpassingly exceptional being.
The ground shattered, and Shi Hao burst out, escaping the ancient mine, while eleven True Gods appeared, desperately intercepting him, launching ferocious attacks without regarding the consequences.
“So powerful!”
Shi Hao was terrified. He was nearly hit by several rules; the True Gods of the Celestials Clan had gone mad, preferring to damage the rock than let him take it.
Bang!
During his breakout, the Guardian Talisman lit up once again, blocking another strike and allowing him to escape swiftly into the vast meadow.
“You won’t get away!”
Someone bellowed, conjuring a crimson scythe covered in flames, which split the earth as it fell towards him rapidly.
“A Celestial God Magic Artifact?” Shi Hao’s heart pounded as he fled for his life.
But that artifact was terrifying. It followed him, and under the True God’s command, the crimson light grew intensively like Death’s weapon, plummeting downwards.
From afar, Shi Hao could already feel the hairs on his neck standing on end, goosebumps rising all over, as the artifact aimed directly for his neck, intending to sever his head.
“What a pity for my Guardian Talisman!” Shi Hao frowned, worried that this strike would destroy the talisman on him.
However, an unexpected change occurred; the strange rock he was carrying began to shake, releasing mist after mist, enveloping him like hundreds of waterfalls.
Shi Hao was shocked. Suddenly, he felt an immense weight descend upon him, as if he were carrying many mountains on his back, causing his shoulders to ache with pain.
Had his body not been far stronger than other Venerables, the weight would have certainly crushed him into a pulp. This burden was unbearable and came too suddenly.
“Stop!”
From behind, a True God shouted, halting the crimson scythe, fearing it would inadvertently destroy the strange rock.
At this moment, they noticed that Shi Hao’s speed had slowed down to an almost standstill; he was nearly sinking into the ground, and the rock was undergoing some anomaly.
The True Gods of the Celestials Clan swooped down, all attacking vigorously.
Shi Hao clenched his teeth, cursing internally. Why did the anomaly occur at such a moment? It seemed he had to rely on the ancient talisman in his hand, though it was uncertain if it would still be able to carry the rock material with him.
The pursuers landed with tremendous momentum. Several hands reached for the strange rock, while others aimed to restrain Shi Hao.
“Boom!”
Suddenly, the strange rock on Shi Hao fractured, releasing a terrifying beam of light and aura of the road, making everyone’s faces change drastically.
Shi Hao yelled out as the Guardian Talisman flared intensely in that instant, engulfing him with light.
Simultaneously, the True Gods of the Celestials Clan rapidly retreated, sensing a bad omen as the void began to crack, spreading towards them.
“Crack!”
A conspicuous crack appeared on Shi Hao’s Guardian Talisman, incredibly alarming in this upheaval, causing him to be terrified.
It was known that even the explosion of a small world couldn’t destroy this talisman before.
“This is a Heaven and Earth Backlash, indeed nurturing supreme treasures.” The True Gods of the Celestials Clan cried out in excitement mixed with fear, for the massive crack in the void was spreading towards them, some were wounded, their bodies splitting, others coughed blood, nearly perishing.
The strange rock completely split open, revealing an object enveloped in dense matriarchal aura, varying oddly in size, at times as large as a millstone, at times small enough to fit in the hand.
“Heaven help us, it couldn’t have been ruined.” The severely injured True Gods went mad with the thought that such an object, if not fully cultivated, would be a tremendous loss if it came out prematurely.
Shi Hao made his move, as the object was within arm’s reach, and with the Guardian Talisman protecting him, he hadn’t retreated far. Seeing that the object was no longer emitting a terrible fluctuation, he grabbed it and fled.
“Chase him!” The True Gods pursued with darkened faces.
In the end, Shi Hao vanished, using a Voidbreaker Talisman he had exchanged in Fufeng City, along with the Ground Shrinking Technique and Kun Peng’s technique, to escape the place.
As for the World-breaking Talismans he had obtained from the ruins, he didn’t wish to use them against a True God. (To be continued.
