Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution - Chapter 1221 Collective Efforts
Chapter 1221: Chapter 1221 Collective Efforts
“Madwoman, what do you intend to do by keeping such a strange baby?” Sword Elder looked at the Mad Woman with unfriendly eyes.
Although he didn’t state it clearly, the implication was obvious — he suspected the woman had ties with the Divine Beings.
A child from the Ancient Realm shouldn’t appear in this place; their constitution doesn’t allow survival here.
What’s more, this baby rolled down from the mountaintop like a ball, yet remained unscathed. It’s clear she’s a descendant of the Divine Beings.
“I can sense this child’s spirituality is strong; she could inherit my legacy.” The Mad Woman gazed at the baby girl in her arms, who was sucking her finger, her eyes seemingly speaking, curiously looking at the Mad Woman.
“You really are mad, wanting to pass your legacy to a Divine Being’s child? Or are you a Divine Being too?” Sword Elder’s face grew increasingly unpleasant.
“I have no successor in the Ancient Realm. If I die here, should my legacy die with me? I have decided on this girl.” The Mad Woman was resolute.
Others who heard her remained silent, some were unable to understand, but seeing the Mad Woman’s expression, if one wanted to take the baby away, they would likely have to fight her to the death.
“Madwoman, no one here will lend you strength now. Even if you and I fight one-on-one, the outcome is uncertain, especially since there are so many people here.” Sword Elder seemed convinced this child was certainly a Divine Being’s offspring, eager to kill her, and as he stood up, streams of Sword Qi floated beside him, nearly turning corporeal, ready to strike at the woman.
“Even Tian only had a fair battle with us, never suppressing with force. Whether or not this child is a Divine Being’s offspring, killing her would make us less than Tian.” Tian Jiuyou spoke calmly.
Most people agreed with Tian Jiuyou’s opinion; they had once been formidable rulers. Striking a child was unthinkable, and there was indeed no benefit.
“Just afraid this child appearing here is a Divine Being’s plot.” Sword Elder refused to back down, the Sword Qi approached the Mad Woman further.
The Mad Woman was about to speak, but saw the baby in her arms curiously reaching out her small hand, trying to touch the nearby Sword Qi.
Startled, the Mad Woman retreated, trying to distance the baby from the Sword Qi.
But as soon as she retreated, the baby became visibly unhappy, reaching out like a child sulking over a departing candy.
An astonishing scene unfolded: the Sword Qi actually flew towards the baby automatically.
The Mad Woman initially thought Sword Elder had acted, but then saw Sword Elder desperately trying to control the Sword Qi, yet it remained uncontrollable.
Those streams of Sword Qi danced around the baby, who watched and giggled, stretching her hand, a Sword Qi flew into her hand. She casually waved it around as if wielding a lollipop.
Everyone watched in awe, even the Mad Woman was stunned.
Sword Elder’s strength was top-notch among Lower Tiers, yet his Sword Qi was playfully held by the baby, since completely out of control, flying around her as if entertaining her.
In a moment of distraction, the baby unexpectedly stuffed the Sword Qi into her mouth; no one anticipated this move, too sudden and fast.
By the time the Mad Woman reacted trying to stop, it was too late; the Sword Qi was already stuffed into the baby’s mouth.
Everyone thought the baby would certainly have her mouth torn apart, but when the Sword Qi entered her mouth, it seemed to dissolve, directly flowing into her body.
“Achoo!” The baby sneezed and the sneeze shot out like Sword Qi, impossibly fast, grazing past Sword Elder’s face, leaving a blood trail as drops of blood began to drip down.
“This baby… could she be naturally a Sword Path Holy Body…” Sword Elder’s face showed shock.
Everyone felt this baby indeed possessed extraordinary power, despite being just an infant; with such miraculous strength, what would happen if she embarked on a path of cultivation?
“I had thought Tian, such a Divine Being, was merely exceptional. Seeing this baby, I’ve realized maybe Divine Beings indeed have many such powerful individuals.” A burly man spoke.
“If that’s truly the case, it would be extremely difficult for us to break free from bondage.” Many people agreed.
“Hard, but not impossible. Right now, here’s an excellent opportunity.” Tian Jiuyou suddenly spoke.
“What opportunity?” Everyone looked at Tian Jiuyou in confusion.
“Sword Elder, you said that Heaven-Defying Sword Scripture we can’t master, right?” Tian Jiuyou asked Sword Elder.
“We already have our own paths, like paper heavily inked, and revising is impossible.” Sword Elder replied.
“You just called this baby a Sword Path Holy Body, could she train in that Heaven-Defying Sword Scripture?” Tian Jiuyou asked further.
Sword Elder hesitated, then shook his head and said, “I’m unsure if she can train, but I’ll never pass the Heaven-Defying Sword Scripture to a Divine Being’s offspring.”
“Who says she’s a Divine Being’s offspring?” Tian Jiuyou countered.
“How is she not a Divine Being’s offspring? Children like this can’t be born in the Ancient Realm.” Sword Elder frowned.
“Look carefully at her body, observe her clothing and accessories.” Tian Jiuyou said calmly.
Upon Tian Jiuyou’s words, Sword Elder and others scrutinized the baby, her clothing, and accessories.
Upon closer inspection, indeed some peculiarities surfaced.
Although they’ve never seen what a Divine Being’s child looks like, Divine Beings resemble humans, yet this baby had two small wings on her back, a clear trait of Ancient Realm people.

Furthermore, her clothing material, style, and craftsmanship were different from the Celestial Court’s.
“This really doesn’t seem like a Divine Being’s child… but a child from the Ancient Realm… How could she possess such a strong constitution…” Sword Elder hesitated instantly.
“Why not, even the Ancient Realm has individuals like the God Lord, birthed a natural Lower Tier is plausible.”
Tian Jiuyou paused and added, “Hypothetically, even if she’s a Divine Being’s descendant, we keep quiet, how would she know? We collectively teach her, let her be influenced from a young age, despising Divine Beings, and when she masters our techniques to defeat Tian, we’ll secure our freedom. Moreover, she clearly is a child from the Ancient Realm, unknown who brought her in; she closely resembles our Celestial Race yet slightly distinct.”
“That makes sense. Since we can’t master Heaven-Defying Sword Scripture, this baby is perfect, let her practice, we collectively teach her, and fear not she can’t rival Tian. Thankfully, she has such potential; had she been ordinary, she’d be useless.” God Lord’s eyes gleamed, looking at the baby.
Sword Elder’s eyes gradually lit up too; Tian Jiuyou indeed made valid points, even if she were a Divine Being’s offspring, they could brainwash her, and moreover, she surely isn’t a Divine Being’s offspring.
Seeing the crowd swayed, Tian Jiuyou felt secretly pleased: “Fortunately, I infiltrated their ranks; otherwise, Wine would be in danger. No idea what foster father is up to; how did he get Wine here? Anyway, it’s beneficial; these people might not be high-ranked, but their skills and abilities are uniquely mysterious, beneficial for Wine to learn. Let the daughter fight the father, wonder what their expressions would be if they knew she’s Tian’s daughter.”
Tian Jiuyou recognized Wine, although only meeting her once or twice, a child as distinctive as Wine, anyone would remember her.
