Summary
“It’s so late… I can’t keep my eyes open anymore…” I murmured, feeling sleep tugging at me as the clock passed 3 AM. Most people would be deep in dreamland by now.
“Stop calling me ‘Boss,’” Suyang whispered softly beside me. “For these 24 hours, we’re not playing the roles of superior and employee. We’re just… us.”
“If you’re exhausted, rest a little. I’ll wake you up in time to catch the sunrise.” He pulled me closer, wrapping me in his arms. His warmth spread through me like a cozy blanket.
Then, with the most serious tone, he said, “Want me to sing you a lullaby?”
I blinked. “Huh? Why a lullaby?”
“I read online that couples sing to each other,” he replied earnestly. Without waiting for my response, he started crooning, “Pig… your nose has two holes…”
I smacked his arm, half laughing. “What even is that? That’s not a lullaby!”
“Shh. I picked this song just for you. Don’t ruin the moment,” he insisted.
“You already did that yourself!” I burst out laughing uncontrollably. Watching his deadpan face as he sang nonsense only made it worse. “You’re killing me!”
