The Goddess Made A Mistake Again - Chapter 395: 395 - A Bad Negotiator
Chapter 395: Chapter 395 – A Bad Negotiator
The Bandit felt that Henry’s words weren’t an empty threat. The guy himself has survived this long by understanding his enemies and working his way around them.
Right now, his instincts told him Henry was not bluffing. He would really shoot if something happened… his instincts also told him that Henry might shoot even if nothing happened.
So he did a compromise, “Alright, why don’t we all calm down just a little bit and hehe talk this out… somewhere nice and clear without your men standing around you.”
“Yeah, that’s not happening.” But Henry shot him down.
“What happened? I’m sure someone as big and strong as you wouldn’t be scared of us lowly bandits, right?… or is there something else?” The bandit said with a childlike tone.
“You know… I hate people doing that reverse psychological mess!” I tell him as one of my veins pops up in anger, “You shits think that it actually works all the time and sometimes it does I won’t deny that… but it’s only with muscle heads who don’t know what crazy things you’re planning behind their back, Understand!”
“So No! We’re not going anywhere from here and if you try that shit again… I swear to whoever the fuck you believe in; I will shoot you.”
The bandit gulped and even Samantha stepped away from him. They could feel Henry’s anger, again, he wasn’t joking.
“Alright… I’ll compromise even more and ask where you want to do this.”
Finally, the shit realized that just because he has Samantha with him, doesn’t mean that I’ll just up and kneel before his merry ass and do whatever he wants.
“Both of us will meet each other at the middle of the field. And to show that I’m not compromising anything at all, I’ll let you bring a few men with you as security.”
The bandit on the other side had a deadpan look on him.
‘You say that but I know otherwise.’ Then sighed, ‘But at least I won’t be alone with that monster.’
He shook Samantha and instructed the guard behind, “Take her inside and bind her. Make sure to have a close look at her while I’m away negot-”
“Hey, Lowly Bandit!” Henry suddenly called him and the guy almost felt his teeth crack under him.
“Y- Yes!” He asked with anger restricted smile.
“Let me talk with her.”
“Ah…” The bandit looked between Samantha and Henry, “I don’t think I can do tha-”
“I’m not asking you to send her to me, we’ll talk from where we are. I’m sure that wouldn’t be compromising.”
The bandit didn’t know what Henry was planning but as long as Samantha was with them, he had a sense of security… however low that might be.
“Alright”
I nod before looking at Samantha. She looked a bit disheveled and the makeup on her eyes seemed smudge, probably from shame. Her hands were tied behind her back but it didn’t look that uncomfortable… I know personally, but that’s for another matter and companion completely.
Samantha was the one who spoke first, “Henry, it’s so good to see yo-”
“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!” My voice went overboard and scared everyone, especially Samantha who it was directed at, “Do you know what you did?”
Samantha looked down in shame, “Yes… I let myself get captu-”
“Captured? No no no, you’re a hostage… to our fucking enemy that we’re at WAR WITH!”
Samantha cowered down but I wasn’t finished.
“Do you know who your father is? He’s the goddamn commander of the whole army and you’re his daughter… THE DAUGHTER THAT’S NOW A CAPTIVE.”
Oppet standing beside me tried to find some way to calm me but I rejected it, “No Gobeject.”
‘What is that name!’
“She still needs to understand how fucked up this is.”
I turn to Samantha, “I don’t how you could have done so but at least tell me you were able to kill some of them.”
“I- I did!” Samantha looked up, finally finding a sliver of hope, “We killed a lot and injured them as well!”
“We?” I raise a brow, “Who’s this we?”
“Well ahh…” Samantha felt from every bone in her body not to answer it, but couldn’t hide it, “It was me, Arthur, Elisabeth and Wilso-”
“HOLY SHIT! ALL OF YOU GOT CAUGHT… TOGETHER?!” Now I just lost my shit altogether.
Samantha looked down, not answering anymore.
I start clapping, “Now that’s just fucking perfect. It wasn’t enough for the commander’s daughter to get caught no… YOU HAD TO BRING THE KING’S ILLEGITIMATE SON, A VISCOUNT’S ONLY DAUGHTER AND A FUCKING TRANS TO THE PARTY TOO!”
This last bit of information shocked everyone very much. They very much wanted to know who this illegitimate son was? And was it really the King’s?
…
Even Arthur, who heard Henry’s loud screams from under the basement, paled as his secret was found out. The secret that he had so earnestly hid, was now on the open.
Elisabeth beside him also felt the gravity of the impact. Not just because Arthur’s identity was out, but also because the person she had a crush on, was blatantly humiliating them because of their actions.
Elisabeth felt more pity on Samantha who also had a crush on Henry and was now being insulted upon by the very person.
“Hey, who’s the illegitimate bastard Henry’s talking about?” Wilson, the trans, asked. “He’s not talking about you, is he Arthur?” She asked with a tilt.

“We- Well…” Arthur smiled wryly before Elisabeth also felt curious about something.
“Who is this Trans person Henry’s talking about?”
“…” Wilson decided to plead the 5th.
…
“Okay, we’ll convene our talk in five minute.” I say as the bandit nodded, taking away a disgruntled Samantha while patting her back and encouraging her.
Seeing them leave, I feel my mind falter and headache grip me, “How could this happen to me?”
“Calm yourself sir, do you want me to bring you some tea?”
“Tea, are you jokin- You know what, make it a bit more sweeter than usual.”
“Alright” But as he was about to leave I grab him, “Also signal Platoon C to get in and grab the obje- Subjects!”
“But sir! What if they find out?” Oppet asked.
“Don’t worry, they don’t have many people left.” I give a broken smile, “Even though they were extremely stupid enough to get caught, they’re not completely useless.”
“Alright, I’ll tell them.”
…
Five minutes later…
The bandit negotiator and I was at the center of the field with both our people on the opposite side, a kilometer away from us.
I was alone while the other guy had three people with him. He started it first with a hearty laugh, “What a change of turn.”
“Indeed” I nod.
“To think that we, who were thinking of giving up Samantha for letting us escape would suddenly land upon such a gold mine.” He’s words confuse me, “To have the king’s son as our captive… he’s not just a gold mine, he’s a sigmat cave for us!”
“I’m thinking that I’ll ask for a large mansion, no, a whole city just for us. A place where we’ll leave however we want without anyone ordering us. What do you think?”
Seeing his grin, I tone it down, “Do you think that guy actually matters?”
“Hm? Trying to elude me huh? I’m sorry but that won’t work-”
“Dude… even if you took him by his throat and threatened to kill him, it won’t go the way you want.” I lean in with a smile, “In fact if you kill him, there might be a big fat reward waiting for you.”
