‘Those two back there acted kind of strange. Almost as if they had some ulterior motive behind them… but they didn’t do or ask anything odd so, I guess it’s okay?’

I think about the private meeting with the Lord and his hand before my mind wandered to the person called Orion.

Orion, Orion, Orion… what did I say about that guy again?

Yeah, a lot of stuff. Most of which is true while some of them weren’t.

The thing about meeting him or my people fighting that guy trying to steel my sigmat crystals were all a load of bullshit.

Frankly, I don’t even know how he looks like.

But the thing about him being arrogant and acting bizarrely was completely true. I didn’t know the guy individually, but I knew of him from the novel.

Orion, from what I know, that guy is supposed to be the bandit king’s son and leads a tall revolution inside the kingdom. One of the biggest the kingdom has ever faced and was close to success as well.

Though in the end he was defeated by the full might of the kingdom and then was reduced to nothing.

The guy was extremely arrogant, but the goddess works in beautiful ways. She gave him a large plate full of gold which he didn’t appreciate. So she took it away, threw him on a corner of some unknown alley and gave him a mud cup to which he would beg… the shit actually worked and the guy became humbled.

How did I know all this and why does this guy matters you ask?

Because after getting humbled and begging on the streets, the guy meets the one person who could change his life, Arthur.

I mean, there are a lot who could change his life as well, but none had the good ending.

Orion learning from his mistakes, finds the virtuous and kindhearted protagonist, who if you didn’t know is the rightful heir of this kingdom… shocking!

Losing his value in life, Orion saw the chance to grab it and took Arthur’s helping hand, then would become one of his extremely crucial allies, which was bad news for me and my darling Fang Bang.

Even if Orion was reduced to nothing and only had bad reputations, the guy still had connections to many dark places from which Arthur could righteously gain profits from.

It was also this underground friend of his that gains him a special kind of heroine too, but we’re getting too far ahead.

It was still far away and the future is never truly decided.

Before I could get my thoughts any further, I saw someone familiar coming towards me. I remembered the figure, it was the girl who stayed beside Margaret all night while looking genuinely worried.

Probably her personal maid.

“My Lord Tax.” The girl came and slightly bowed to me as I nod.

I took in her feature. She wore a purple outfit which looked appropriate on her slender and beautiful figure. The girl was two heads smaller than Margaret so she looked quite harmless too, but the sharpness in her eyes said otherwise.

“My name is Helena. I am my lady Margaret’s maid.” She introduced herself.

“Yes, I remember you. You were balling your eyes off while the doctor was treating Margaret.” The image was vivid.

Helena blushed and stammered, “Yo- You remember that?… I’m sorry if I was a hindrance, my lord.”

“Don’t worry, it’s good to know that Margaret has someone good like you to worry about her. Tell me, what do you came for?”

“My lady would like to meet you if you aren’t preoccupied at the moment.”

I look past her and didn’t see Klein around so I nod, “I’m not.”

A smile lit up on the slightly naïve maid, “That’s perfect! Let me lead you there.”

I let her walk ahead and follow her. She brought me into Margaret’s personal room where I was last night.

It was spacious and much bigger than the guest room I have.

Margaret’s room weren’t filled with the girly materials, dresses and perfumes other girls had. Instead, there were swords, armors, battle arts drawn on the walls. The style was vaguely close to guys.

The culprit lay on the bed, strung up by some bandages and looking like a large thing that was mummified half-assed.

“Henry” Margaret said. There wasn’t a frown or complicated feelings on her, just a simple response.

“Margaret, I hope I didn’t put you into much trouble.”

“You did.” She bluntly said, this girl.

“Sorry for that.”

“It’s alright.” Margaret said, “It’s not the pain that troubles me, it’s not being able to move.”

She sighed, “I can’t even move my head and have to be spoon fed by her all the time.”

“What are you talking about?” I look at Helena, “She’s a pretty girl. I would have gotten myself admitted for such top quality service.”

“Hehehe.” Helena happily smiled at that.

Margaret’s face groaned in pain, “Then take my place… I beseech you.”

‘That’s a heavy word.’ I look at Helena who gave me a sweet smile, ‘This girl doesn’t look like she’s a proble-‘

My conclusion comes to an end as I see the frown on Margaret.

The problem wasn’t that Helena was trouble, it’s because they were the opposite of themselves. While Margaret was serious and boyish, Helena looked like a daisy who shone happily in the sunlight.

The problem was that; Margaret is the type that wouldn’t think twice to stomp on the daisy. But it was also cute seeing these two like this.

Maybe this is what they meant by Opposites look good together.

Or they just wanted to fuck with that person.

I sit down on the chair before and glide my hand on the bandages. Helena’s face turned pink as she couldn’t look down while Margaret was curious.

“You feel anything?”

“No… what are you doing exactly?”

“Seeing if I can still get that reward you promised me.” Margaret’s face lit up in a blush at that, How odd.

“We- Well, as you can see I’m incapacitated. So we’re going to have to take a rain-check.” She used my own wordplay to hide her embarrassment… again, how odd.

Margaret wasn’t the type to easily or get embarrassed even. Maybe finally she’s getting that womanly sense in her…

“What are you thinking so hard about?” Margaret asked.

“Oh yeah, you’re here so you probably didn’t hear. We’re about to get fucked.” Margaret raised a brow at that and I tell her what Seman told me.

After hearing everything, Margaret finally answered, “Huh…” Then looked at Helena, “Where’s that huge scissors the doctor has for cutting this thing wrapped around me?”

“Marga- My lady, you know you can’t get out yet.”

“So what? Are you telling me to stay trapped until the enemy barges into my bedroom. I’d rather get killed on the field.” Margaret turned to me, “What are you going to do?”

“What I’ve done before, I’ll go fight.”

Margaret frowned further, “The chances of surviving won’t be high.”

“But the rewards would be.”

She nodded slowly, “You do know those rewards won’t be of any use if you die there anyway.”

“Don’t worry about that, I’ll be bringing Lucian with me.”
