The Goddess Made A Mistake Again - Chapter 421: 421 - Arrival of the Ex-Laws
Chapter 421: Chapter 421 – Arrival of the Ex-Laws
The morning started with loud drums and horns blowing.
“POM!” “POM!”
“POM!” “POM!”
The sounds were just like when Marva and the others arrived but louder.
I scratch my ear and try to cut out the blaring noises hitting me more than it normally would. My hands catching my throbbing head as I grit at the annoyance.
“What the fuck!” I groan, “Who the hell is playing the mariachi band this early in the morning?”
As I get up, the cover around my body falls and shows my naked body. But I wasn’t alone, beside me was Marva… completely naked.
Her body had sticky and full of sweat as she restlessly turned around the bed and lazily opened her eyes, “Did something happen?”
I look at Marva, she was squinting with her eyes, “Can’t you hear the loud noise outside?”
“That?” Marva lazily pointed before her hand wrapped around me, “I didn’t think about them with you beside me.”
Marva moved with her slender hot body, grasping me sultrily, “You did a good number on me last night… you can be a good lover even when we’re not having wild, hot, animalistic sex outside.”
“That’s for certain.” I say and scratch my ear, “Damn! I have to get down.”
“Why?” Marva’s hands clutched me tighter, bringing me closer to her soft boobs, “Stay back, let me taste you a bit mo-”
I forcefully get up, pulling off her hand as she almost fell from the bed, “Hey!”
“Sorry for that but I can’t stay. I need to get down; I reckon you should too.”
“And why is that?”
I talk while picking up my clothes which were fallen on different parts of the room, “The sound coming from outside couldn’t be for nothing. It has to be something important, one which we both might need to learn about.”
Marva groaned, laying with her stomach flat on the bed. She ran her hand back through her long silky, orange hair, “You know what I think?”
“I really don-”
“We should stay.” She said, “I don’t know how long we could stay so comfortably but I don’t want to waste a part of this. You should get back to bed and I can show you a few more tricks.”
I turn around halfway through my robe, “You know more tricks?”
“Yes, I learned quite a bit of them.”
“Ahh, are they all for me?”
“What!” Marva blushed as she straightened up, “N- No… It’s not for you! Th- There for someone else I have in mind.”
“And who could that be I wonder?”
“It doesn’t matter! Are you coming to bed or not?”
“No, I’m not.” I pick up her underwear with my feet and kick it to her, “You should get up and get out.”
“No, I wanna sleep more.”
“Then do it in your own room. Don’t forget, this is my fiancé’s house.” I say and get out of the room.
Marva looked intensely at the door before she threw a pillow at it and laid down.
“Hmph! I’ll do whatever I want! I don’t care if this is your wife’s house or her own damn bedroom!” Marva said and closed her eyes slightly, “I’ll sleep for a few more minutes… or hours…”
…
I get down to the ground floor and listen to the sound.
It was coming from the front side of the castle.
I simply walk there and arrive to see a large army stationed right outside of the castle door. There were a few carriages and a lot of soldiers standing guard.
The unknown soldiers wore black armor with a unique crest drawn on them.
The crest was of bright white color on the dark armor. A white dragon with its head up, swearing up with its wings widely spread on both sides.
All the soldiers were standing guard strongly without any noises. They had a level of discipline only warriors of high noble families seem to have.
‘They seem like reinforcements.’
‘And that crest… why does that seem familiar to me?’ I try to remember the memory as Seman arrived before the castle gate.
Seeing me, he gave a solemn nod.
‘Seman doesn’t look happy to see these people. Are they trouble?’ I wonder while quietly looking at their interaction.
The carriage on the fore front opened its door and a man wearing war armor comes out. His armor is also completely black with the white crest drawn on it but his were a bit different and better than the rest of them.
The man is particularly young and with that I mean, he is in his early 30’s. Young because, the guy seemed like a commander or equivalent with the noble aura he held.
He looked handsome and had dark black hair. He’s body was tall enough to reach 5.9 and had muscles at just the right places.
Seman and the man talk with each other and I notice a difference. The new guy seemed to be a bigshot.
Seman was talking respectfully to the man. The man himself on the other hand seemed a big arrogant as he only answered with small words or without much appreciation.
You could tell this guy is going to be a problem.
Seman asked something and the guy whipped up a scroll and gave it to him. Reading the scroll, I couldn’t tell what he was feeling, but his face looked a bit heavy.
In the end, he smiled and said a few more words before gesturing him inside.
Both of them talked with each other before the man turns to me and developed curiosity.
How did I know that?
Because he pointed very obviously to me and Seman seemed reluctant as he brought him tome.
“Henry” Seman’s voice seemed to crack a bit, “Meet Peter Dragonoir, son of the second son of the Dragonoir family and a renowned viscount.”
“Nice to meet you, Lord Peter.” I give a nod to him.
Peter only gave a brief nod in return.
“And this is Henry Van Tax, a renowned viscount as well.”
“Oh!” This is where Peter change.
Peter who was uncaring just a moment ago, reformed instantly as I feel a heavy killing intent surround me.
‘Hm?’
The intent was strong and dominating. But the feeling wasn’t as strong as Lucian’s or heavy. It felt like a distant grudge coming to grasp me.
‘He clearly wants to kill me.’ I think.
Peter’s eyes were sharp but they carefully hid the true feelings he had.
“So this is Lord Tax, I’ve heard quite the things about you.” Peter’s tone changed from distant to condescending, “You really do ride up to your reputation, a giant indeed.”
I feel nothing from that small insult, “Oh, thank you Lord Peter. I do quite like the view from here, makes everyone seem quite small… like they really are.”
“Hmph!” He gave a snorting laugh, “You jest, Lord Tax… I will talk with you later.”
I nod as Seman quickly took the man away from me. Yet his killing intent only seemed to increase.
“That guy seemed disturbing.” I hear a familiar voice and look around to see Winona.
“Where have you been? I didn’t see you for some time.”
“Training and looking around the new place.” Winona eyes turn crescent, “You know, I came to find you last night.”
“Oh?”
“Heard strange noises from your bedroom.”
“Really? Probably me having bad dreams again.”
“Could be… but they do remind me of a certain moment.” Winona’s face couldn’t be anymore sarcastic.
She shook her head and turn to the castle where Seman took Peter, “Who is that and why does he seem like he hates your guts?”
“He’s a viscount of the Dragonoir Family.” I turn around and start to leave myself.
“The family which previously had a marriage arrangement with Margaret.”
